Way to go, Carrie! You looked hot and steamy! :em23:

  3.
idol were 3/16 at the Grammy’s. Not very impressive :(
Awards shows rarely represent ‘the people.’ I watch for the performances. :)

    Ace’s eyebrows scare me.

  5. idol were 3/16 at the Grammy’s. Not very impressive :(

  6. Goofy picture of Ace. I was never an Ace fan anyway.

  7. Tina Turner looks better at 60 than I do at 37. How depressing.

  8. Enjoyed watching the Before He Cheats video. I have that on my music player and it comes up while I’m at the gym a lot. It’s fun to see it performed live. Is that Stomp performing with her?

Sorry to hear that Fantasia lost. I don’t really care for her but I am an AI supporter all the way.

    Go Idols!

  10. Some awards are being announced prior to the live telecast

i am happy to see carrie, kelly clarkson and daughtry winning. i think daughtry is getting far ahead than the other AI season 6 contestants and winners….

hope there will be more grammy nomination and awards for my favorite..kelly clarkson :em70:

I think the Grammys are manipulated by all the industry insiders much like the Oscars are,.. and all the other reward-thyself advertising spectacles. Gotta take these shows with a grain of salt.

Mandisa was nominated in Gospel – that’s a fairly limited (small) genre, so I’m not surprised that she was nominated there. The number of albums sold just don’t relate to the numbers sold for pop/rock and so on. She must be doing okay in that market or she wouldn’t have gotten the nomination. Same thing for Jennifer Hudson – this is a movie driving the song nomination. There’s no comparison to other contemporary music because they aren’t associated with a major motion pic/Broadway hit. You can’t compare apples to oranges.

All in all, each of these American Idols well deserves their nominations in their particular markets, whether we personally like their music or not. I happen to detest the sound of Fantasia, but hey, that’s my opinion, right?!

It is odd that some best-selling artists don’t get nominated. Kind of like the Oscars and how some very good actors/actresses never get nominated there either. It’s inexplicable!

dude… why you being so crule about who should have been nominated and who shouldn’t
I don’t think anyone was being cruel about who was nominated. I think BBOO was just pointed out some opinions.
Thanx. DJSlim you are sooo right. Our was just saying my opion that’s all.
All i was trying to say was it’s not fair for arists like Avril who have sold 30 million and she has never won a grammy. And Mandis comes along with 57k and gets nominated and people think shes gonna win. What’s up with that!!!

dude… why you being so crule about who should have been nominated and who shouldn’t. I don’t see you out there singing and busting your rear end for fans. Mandisa has got talent and you know it. Don’t go bashing people you don’t know. If you don’t like her music then don’t listen to it, simple as that. Seriously. I hope Mandisa wins, she really deserves it. GO MANDISA!!!!

  17.
Just looked @ the list. Avril isn’t nominated, neither is fergie *cry* but Rihanna is, alot of times lol. For those of you who want to know…..

    Record Of The Year(Umbrella f. Jay-Z)

    Song Of The Year(Umbrella f. Jay-Z)

Best Dance Recording(Don’t Stop The Music)

Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals(Hate That I Love You f. Ne-yo)

    Best R&B Song(Hate That I Love You f. Ne-yo)

    Best rap/sung Collaboration(Umbrela f.Jay-Z)
Personally I have a feeling Rihanna will clean house. I was also surprised that Avril wasn’t nominated.

    4 for Daughtry(if you include his producer)(Ace co-wrote “It’s Not Over)
    4 for Carrie Underwood
3 for Fantasia(how could she get nominated- her 2nd album only went gold)
    2 for Jenifer Hudson
    1 for Kelly Clarkson(yayyy)
    1 for Mandisa(her album hasn’t even sold 100k)

Mandisa & Jenifer do not deserve nominations, like please!!! Fantasia only deserves 2 nominations(When I See U) & Kelly has to win(going head to head with Carrie) or she’ll get bashed by her fans(not me) for loosing to Carrie.

I am extremly surprised that Elliott Yamin didn’t get a nomination. I was sooo sure he would win a grammy this year!!!(maybe next year).
Kellie Pickler(who i don’t relly like) should of got a nomination in the country genre……what idiots for picking Mandisa.. i just can’t get over that. She just can’t win!! or that just shows peole that you can be a crap singer and win a grammy. Like come on people, even Avril Lavigne hasn’t won a grammy!!!
I think Fantasia will win 2 (out of 3), Daughtry will win all 4, Carrie will win 3(out of 4) and Kelly will win 1(out of 1) Jenifer could win & Mandis will not.

I haven’t looked at the full list so I hope Avril,Rihanna & Fergie are nominated!!
