I love adam when he was on american idol…love is music but the performance he gave i found it too over the top….the sex was offensive and in bad taste…..children do watch that show.
The whole performance was based on sex, but the outrageous display of sexual acts was distasteful and unnecessary. Entertained? Disgusted is more like it. I think it was his enormous ego he tripped over. Nice recovery though.
@ Justin:
Funny – “OUT” magazine is ragging on him because he is not gay enough…you hate him because he is being “too gay”. Sounds like he is playing it as best he can…
@ Justin:
I swore I was not going to respond no matter what but – are you a terrorist? Are you some sort of fanatic who thinks killing is the only thing that people who don’t live your lifestyle deserve! Slim, I apologize but I live in New York and I know what these kind of assholes – and no I don’t apologize – can do and cause.
AMEN, Amy. You said it exactly the way I see it. It wasn’t MY thang, but I was in no way offended. I fall into your “who cares” group. And Adam has ALWAYS been that type of performer. He just wasn’t able to showcase it on AI.
Glad to see your video has survived the Dick Clark censorship that is going around. I think this was an excellent performance art piece, nothing more. Don’t imply so much into art – it’s just expression. And it has “rocked” the morals for centuries. Go Adam!
@ Lee:
You’re right, Lee. To each his own. I already said it wasn’t my cup of tea. It was entertainment for some, decadence for others, and maybe even “who cares” for a few – just like weekly evening tv shows, you get your medical dramas, crime shows, comedies, sports, reality, etc, basically something for everyone. He put on a show, period. Whether you or anyone else liked it or not or even approved or not is entirely up to the individual viewers. We all have our own opinions.
@ ABB:
TO EACH HIS OWN! CONCERNING INTERTAINMENT. TO ME IT WAS VULGER DECADANCE. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMIMG TO IF THATS ENTERTAINMENT? GOD HELP THE CHILDREN OF THE NEXT GENERATION!
It wasn’t my cup of tea, but honestly, there have been other performances just as risque done by other artists. I wasn’t offended – even regular tv shows have more implied as well as fairly explicit sex AND violence depicted in the evening hours. Anyone who was offended (and I don’t mean just the “eww” factor), but really offended, have had their heads in the sands about what Adam has been all about. This was entertainment.

I am not a fan of Adam. period.
@ Lee:
Said it before and I’ll say again, Lee. I love a man who can laugh at himself.
@ ABB:
I tried to get you back for getting me. But you didn’t take the bait Amy. So the jokes on me again, yuk-yuk.

IMO, his singing was AWFUL.

@ Terilynn:
“Agree Angie, double Ew!”
You can TRIPLE “Ew” that.
Good work, Slim!
