I want to extend a giant thank you to all the visitors that made their way to idolbloglive this season. Without you all the season wouldn’t have been as much fun as was. A lot of great online friendships were born this season and older ones continued and it is a wonderful thing.
A big thanks to Queen Angie for taking the time out of her life to let me have results night off by blogging for all of you. Another big thanks to all my mods, Amy, Rachel, Joyce, Doc and Teri. They kept the nasty off the blog and banned I am not sure how many people. Your help was so appreciated.
Season 7 was a great success. Yes we had a few server issues a couple of nights but we managed through and had 932 people online when David Cook was crowned the winner. This couldn’t have been done without the help of my great hosting company, iMountain Hosting. I am forever indebted to your services. Thank you so much.
I would like to also like everyone to keep in mind that just because the Idol season is over doesn’t mean that idolbloglive will lay dormant. I will update the site daily with Idol news as well as be blogging So You Think You Can Dance and Nashville Star. I may take on another couple of shows if time allows. Please feel free to continue to visit whenever you want. There will always be something new to read and discuss like those Caption This posts. There will also be Live Radio Shows over the off season. Updates on those will be posted to the top of the blog.

thanks for this wonderful blog. i live halfway around the globe so we watch the delayed telecast. but this blog is the first thing i check so I’ll know right away what happened on the show. I have to say thank you to Milissa AKA Mrs Slim or Slim’s Baby Mama. It takes a special spouse to put up with Idol obsession. I know because I have one. So, thank you, Milissa! Thanks for letting Slim indulge his own and OUR obsession!

Slim, Thank You so much for your hard work making this the “Place to Be” for us. You are so talented doing everything you do for this blog and the other things you have put together for us. I can understand why sassypants is so proud. I am proud of you and I am not your Mom. In several years from now when Idol is finished, your blog will have become the place to be for thousands and thousands. Thank You for trusting me with the delete/ban buttons :devil: I found this blog 3 and 1/2 years ago and have never left. The changes and up grades you have done are so awesome. I will be here during the summer and next season and so on

Thanks Slim and others, you have made this foreigner welcome and fed my DC addiction/obsession/crush nicely. This is the first year that I have done AI, I was flicking channels and lo and behold there was this scruffy, gravelly voiced god and I was hooked. captivated, enslaved and enchanted. Entrapped by my aging hormones. In my pursuit of all things DC I then happened on this blog, my little haven, source for AI, and place to feed the inner 20something gal inside.
I will leave the last word to the AI judges …………

I just want yo thank you Slim for this awesom site-I found it by accident a feww years ago & it has been my idol fix, SYTYCD, and all the other good stuff you do. I’m on the west coast and work nights so ur my tv- the live blogging is terrific-espescially on result night when Queen Qngie does her thing (thanks Angie). I’m not that good on the intranet but I love this site -It rocks! Again I can’t thank all who do so much. Looking forward to SYTYCD.

I started out reading Jennifer’s blog at “Woes and Prose of an American Idol Junkie” a year or two ago. IdolBlogLive was linked there and I stopped by to see what was up. I’m still here!!!
The thanks goes to Slim from all of us. I cannot imagine the effort that goes into updating this place. I have a small personal blog and it’s all I can do to post something two or three times a week.
I have some cyberfriends that I would not know without this blog. It’s been a great ride and I can’t wait for next year. Of course, I’ll be here all year.

This is my first blog experience and I cannot expess my graditude or explain how much it has meant to me. At 55 years old I had slowley let music slip into the cracks of time over the years. Once in a while I would by a cd of one of the oldie greatest hits they advertise on tv., or get my guitar out and play an old tune from back in the day. I think part of the reason is because it is all so complicated to me now. there are so many kinds of hip hop & rock, Mily Cyrus for 12 year olds, techno, alternative, ect.ect. Guess I just got lost!
But Idol Focuses on main stream and I can relate to it.
This blog has made music tangible to me again. The topics help delve deep into the contestants style and abilities.
The posts give insight into opinions and likes as well as dilikes.
In short this blog has reopened music appreciation to and for me.
Now I can follow and discuss the newest artists and stay more informed of current events.
To every one who makes it all happen, my deepest thanks to each of you.
