:cheerful: I don’t think it is bad all I, I like it. Adam has grown since then, but you expect that of a really great artist in the making. It is rather nice to hear his “before” music. He also sings on The Ten Commandments with Val Kilmer, his song is really good, and the Times referred to it as the best in the musical.

To those who are wondering what happened to their comments, your comments were removed to avoid arguments, because that is what the intention was when you posted them. Remember everyone does not have to like the same artist you do! We all have our likes and dislikes about most everything. We must learn to respect that.

What’s harsh about saying we don’t like something? What’s the big deal? Adam won’t be worse for the wear. I’m sure he’s heard it all before a hundred times. A handful of people saying they don’t like a song he did a while back is not harsh. For every ONE person who says they don’t like it, there are at least TEN who do. Just because someone was on Idol means we have to be sweet and syrupy? I don’t think so. Slim posted the song and everyone is giving an opinion on this one performance. The whole attitude that everyone should love Adam is just silly. (and NO, nobody actually SAID that)

JUST LEAVE EACH OTHER ALONE, ALREADY!!!
Jeesh every time one of these things are posted I notice none of you like them… what’s your problem?

    It’s not bad.

I like his laid back voice… Still, I am not sure of the problem that all of you seem to have with the songs that are always posted in these audio bits everytime. An opinion is an opinion, but I think y’all takin’ it a little harshly!
Because Justin, something that has been said at least 100 times on this blog, everyone has an opinion and is allowed to either like it, love it, or not. Unfortunately some have taken a comment way out of context and are not allowing others to have an opinion, without getting nasty and defensive. However, there are many so far that do like the song. So see, some march to the beat of a different drum so to speak, or different strokes for different folks

But this is what always happens when someone rushes to cash in financially on hype. The lyrics had no substance, the 1-2-3 waltz rhythm put me to sleep. And as usual with Adam he overkills the ending of every song with the dramatic falsetto strains. IMO
Let’s wait for some of his current music to be released before we make judgements…or are you going to slam Danny for quick buckitis because some creepy eyeglass compnay pretneded to release the Gokey glasses line… :ninja:
We are asked to leave thoughts on these threads and that’s all I did. I said he sounded better on the show then this song, and left my thoughts on it like we all do. No need for threats about Danny here. If I like his CD or not it has nothing to do with Danny Gokey. Lighten up a little Random, huh?
Yup, we are asked to leave our thoughts and have a conversation so I did. Sorry you didn’t like them.

    Threats? Really?

    Whatever…

  9. Leo says:

I refuse to listen for the sake of my hearing.

  10. peaches says:

I like it! I’ll buy it! It’s not as good as the performances on AI, but it’s kinda catchy!

  11. angie says:

I don’t like it. Good thing he’ll be going in a different direction when he makes his post Idol album.

On another note, it is quite hilarious, yet disturbing, how the same old crap still happens even now that the show is over. Lee, keep standing up for your own thoughts and opinions no matter what it pertains to!

  12. rachel says:

    I
    Don’t
    Like
    It. :face:

  13. TLR says:

Good Grief Random and Siobhan, the competition is over. Give it a rest please! You are defending a song that is not up to par with the way Adam sings now, most everyone can hear that. People do have the right not to like it or for that matter not to like Adam without you jumping down someone’s throat for that opinion. We all have different tastes and opinions, lets respect that Please! Lee said someone cashing in, not Adam…. :dizzy:

As for my opinion, I will never say, as someone will jump on me also if I don’t like it, I have learned that the hard way. I have no opinion about Adam or his singing. Adam’s greatest defense will be his post AI music.

Lets get back to our opinions on the song without getting so defensive, Adam is not yours alone to defend, he will either make it or not.

  14. Shalimar says:

    I like it

  15. Lee says:
It’s Lee who should lighten up – especially with that fake statement about “threats.”

Lee, obviously, is not a fan or she/he wouldn’t judge Lambert so harshly as if it were he, and not the cashing-in recording studio, trying to make a cheap buck. Of course he sounded better on Idol. He recorded this mediocre song that someone else wrote to make a few bucks. That’s completely obvious. Thus, there was no need for the snarkiness of Lee’s comment – it was only done to slam Lambert (the “overkill” word gives it away).
When anyone is so presumptuous and arbitrary to go so far as put words in my mouth or falsely assumes what I am going to say or think, I find such overbearing behavior threatening. You are right I am obviously not a fan and if you aren’t aware that is not a crime. I don’t care about the circumstances surrounding this song ,it stinks. You know what else, I would not be surprised if Adam thinks it stinks.Try judging the song and stop judging me.

  16. any opportunity to here adam sing anything is a treat!!!

  17. Diane says:

Where did Adam go? You know, the one on Idol? That doesn’t sound like the Adam I’m used to hearing!

    See this: http://music-mix.ew.com/2009/0.....ingle.html

Adam’s statement: “Back in 2005 when I was a struggling artist, I was hired as a studio singer to lend my vocals to tracks written by someone else. I was broke at the time and this was my chance to make a few bucks, so I jumped at the opportunity to record for my first time in a professional studio. The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on. I’m thrilled to be working with some of today’s hottest songwriters and producers and can’t wait for people to hear what my music really sounds like.”

  23. Nicole says:

Just so people know. This is an old song. Its not a new single like some are saying. Just another greedy company trying to make some quick money on an up and coming new artist.

  24. Dorothy Nguyen says:

Love it!!! I am really looking forward to seeing where Adam’s talent will take him!
