I forgot about America’s Got Talent last night and it was an important night. The judges picked the Top 40 acts that would make it to the live shows. I am working on getting you the names of those that made it and will be posting them after the jump as I locate the results.
In the meantime, if you know any acts that made it leave me a comment and help me out.

It is actually quite hard to get the names of the Top 40 acts. Seems the people I have talked to this morning mentioned that they didn’t actually show everyone that made it to the Top 40 and for a lot of people that they did show we never saw their name(s). I will continue to attempt to update this list as I find stuff.
Note : The show is going on hiatus because of the Olympics.

I missed one somewher but I’m not sure so this is the best I can do!!
I don’t now their names, but the 2 ENORMOUS opera singers made it – the one from NYC & the teacher who quit his job. Also the Brittany Spears look-alike (Dwight?) and the female impersonator in the gold dress who sang both the male & female parts. I believe the Elvis impersonator also made it. I saw him in the giant group hug among all the folks going to LA. I may remember more, we’ll see how my memory holds up.
BTW – there are only 39 acts. The Russian Bar Trio had to drop out because the girl got seriously injured. Right now they’re have a contest to allow you to vote in the 40th act on [nbc dot com/Americas_Got_Talent/vote/register dot shtml] up until 4PM ET today (Friday).
