Tonight a whole new season of American Idol will begin and a new batch of hopefuls will attempt to become the next American Idol. As usual we start with the audition episodes. Tonight takes us to Savannah, Georgia. Will we find some talent? Be sure to leave your favorites tonight in the comments.

I don’t do full blogs during the audition episodes. They are just to boring. A full live blog will begin when the contestants hit the stage and sing for America’s vote. If anyone would like to try their hand at live blogging an audition episode please let me know.

• 17 year old David Leathers starts us off in Savannah. He thinks he is a ladies man. I thought it sucked and he has attitude like Astro from X Factor. Judges dug it and David is off to Hollywood. In fact if you have been following the spoilers David makes the Top 42.
  
  
  

• Gabi is the second one up. She comes in and wants a hug from Nigel. Randy is a little confused by this. Not sure why. Who the hell would want to hug him? Beautiful audition, beautiful girl. Gabi is off to Hollywood.
  
  
  

• After seeing a whole mess of folks make it through we are treated to Jessica Whitley. Ok not really treated, more like tortured. The judges didn’t like it either and she is sent packing.
  
  
  
• Shaun is a Ryan Seacrest look-a-like. Sorry Shaun no one compares to the real Ryan. The audition wasn’t anything great. The judges weren’t impressed with the singing either and sent him home to work on his Ryan impersonations.
  
  

• Shannon Magrane is officially my favorite so far tonight and with her name on the Top 42 spoiler we may get to see a lot more of her. Totally smoking but totally illegal. Steven keep your hands to yourself.
  
  
  

• After a whole bunch of disasters we meet Amy. I think Steven likes her, must be because she has a tattoo. This chick lives in a tent in the woods. Man I hope she jumped in the creek before heading to the auditions. At least she can sing. Guess she has lots of practice sitting in the woods staring at the trees. Judges like it and Amy is off to Hollywood.
  
  
  

• Joshua is a country boy who thinks his voice is like Chris Daughtry and Brad Paisley. My ass. Personally his voice sounds like crap. A giant mess. The judges agree and Josh is sent home.
  
  

• Stephanie has been watching Idol since she was 8. She is now 15 and Steven is getting horny. What a voice. Truly amazing. Where the hell is her name on the Top 42 spoiler? At least the judges put her through to Hollywood so Steven can drool a little longer.
  
  
  

• Schyler Dixon is the HOT sister of Colton Dixon who auditioned last season. A lovely audition. To bad they ruined it by having her brother sing after her audition. He isn’t even registered. Both are put through to Hollywood.
  
  
  

• Lauren wraps up day 1 in Savannah. Probably one of the best auditions so far tonight for many people but I didn’t care for it at all. Hollywood must eat her up as I don’t see her name on the magic top 42 list.
  
  

• Ashlee comes in with some screwy Joy Hop dance that she invented. Her singing was just as bad as her dancing. The judges for SOME reason liked her and sent her to Hollywood. WTF!!!
  
  
  

• Wrapping up the Savannah auditions is Phillip Phillips. Yes that is his name, his dads as well. Some people are just dumb. I personally won’t be talking about this audition like Ryan seems to think. It was awful but the judges liked it and we will be seeing more of him as his name appears on the Top 42 list.
  

That wraps up the auditions in Savannah. No one totally blew me away but I do have a couple that may get added to my list. Be sure to drop by again tomorrow night for the second part of the American Idol Season 11 premiere.
