Update : This Was Just An April Fools Joke
Simon has called it quits and FOX has canceled the the rest of Season 7. While details are still slow coming in there seems to have been some blowup between Simon and Nigel about Dolly Parton week and Simon handed him his resignation.
In a press conference this morning Nigel stated they wouldn’t be replacing Simon but instead would cancel the season and hope they are able to find a replacement judge for season 8. More about this developing story after the jump.

So I will say it Slim. Thank goodness Linda isn’t your ‘business and marketing communications specialist.’ IMHO sometimes people get so focused on the big strategies that they lose touch with ideas that reach through to our humanity. Even large corporations conduct self-deprecating campaigns to create memorable hooks. Take a deep breath, Linda, and then try the smile thing. Remember, that’s when the corners of the mouth reverse direction and rise in response to lightness and pleasure. Remember pleasure, Linda?

I would also advise a restaurant not to put tabasco on everyone’s food as an April Fools joke. The image of the food needs to be protected. I think the image of your site as a provider of fast and reliable information needs to be protected. If you look over the comments of others about the joke, there aren’t really examples of pure enjoyment. On the other hand, the joke is coming up on internet searches, and you’ve given people something to talk about. I can’t imagine why my comment was shocking to you. It’s just my professional opinion about when jokes are and are not a good idea for business and professional endeavors.

Sorry you feel this was inappropriate. I don’t see that at all. It is April Fools and was a funny. It is nothing like a joke about my grandmother dying.

I didn’t fall for it!!! :em58: :em32: I’ve been on the lookout for April Fool’s Day jokes. When you watch three 8 year olds, you tend to do that!! One insisted on getting on the bus with ketchup under his nose so he could tell people he had a bloody nose. Oh, they’re soooo funny.
That was a nasty joke yo. I broke it to my couz and he startz ballin all over the floor. He cried all day and now I realize its a joke. You are a cruel person and should be kicked off the internet. Its people like you that are ruining our society.
