Same old, same old, Teri. There will always be those who want to read more into a comment than is actually there. Kind of like the knee-jerk reaction of “shoot first and ask questions later”.
I know Amy, you stated what you said very nicely, I thought! Alas, some are so defensive that you can’t even say something nice about Adam.
Adam turned out great. He seems grounded, great personality, and he has the courage to live out his dream. Plus, he’s respectful to his parents. What else could you want?
Actually, I think the only people uncomfortable with gay/lesbians are people who are close-minded. I’m sure to Adam’s parents, he’s just Adam. And Adam certainly isn’t uncomfortable with his sexuality. As always, its the outsiders who have problems with people who are different from the majority.
I completely agree. It’s his life, and he can make his own decisions and follow his heart.

Considering how he went from little kid GQ to the dyed hair and polished nails, I’m going to count my blessings that my OWN little GQ boy only grew up to have long hair and several girlfriends…
(Just sayin’, that’s all. Nothing wrong with the way Adam turned out, but I’ll betcha most moms would rather their sons not have to deal with the often uncomfortable aspects of an alternative lifestyle.)
I totally agree (and I SAID “nothing wrong with the way Adam turned out”), he turned out great and seems very respectful to his parents and all that. I’m not uncomfortable with gays at all, have no problem with them, and would fully embrace a gay child. My only point was that it CAN be a difficult lifestyle to follow, particularly in some areas of the country, and like most parents, I’d want my kid to NOT have to deal with any difficulties in their life. That’s all.

It’s Adam Lambert
Well, I guess most of us would like our kids to become President of the U.S. someday. But few ever see that dream become reality.
I should be more thankful mine turned out as he did.
I have two grand boys and feel truly blessed.
CAPTION THIS : No Wally I don’t feel like going to the park to play baseball. I think I’ll just stay in our room and color coordinate Barbie and Midge this afternoon.

Man, when I grow up I am Sooooo not gonna look like this. I’m gonna part my hair on the other side, dye it black, and be a star.
Wayne Newton is My idol.

The Wonder Years…I wonder what I’ll be when I grow up.

It’s Adam Lambert
At first I thought that the picture was Kris Allen. Adam gets a lot of publicity here. I guess he is going to be one of the most popular AI’s.
When I grow up, I want to be on American Idol, and dye my hair black and have matching nail polish

The Age of Innocence.
Oh wow. He was so cute!! And he almost had that hair-over-the-eye thing going on even back then!!
