This is so true. Society in the music industry is much like real life in many ways. Its more concerned with how well you look rather then how well you can sing. The best looking guy on the team gets to play Quarterback and the prettiest girl is the head cheerleader in most instances. A I seems to be going in that direction to a degree. We all saw some of the better singers eliminated [or at least I thought so] because the judges are looking for this intangible star quality. I am not sure some of the older A I alumni could have made the finals today.

Miss Independent is probably my favorite. I sing along loudly to that one when I’m in the car. Isn’t THAT a pretty picture??

I remember a time when the kid was 5 and we were shopping, just as loud as you please she started singing “I’m not that innocent”
