To put rumors to rest it is true that David Cook asked Kimberly Caldwell out on a date and it is true that on Saturday night 5/24/08 they did in fact go out to dinner with each other. While there is no confirmation they are now dating or if this was just two friends having dinner or a date I will continue to follow the story and post updates to the blog.

They would make a cute couple, but I think this is somewhat of a publicity stunt. And it worked. Everyone is talking about it, it’s boosting Kim’s fame status and it’s just one more reason to talk about David Cook too. They aren’t stupid, sometimes these kinds of “dates” are created for media attention. Maybe they truly like each other, but only time will tell if their crush/relationship is still standing after the recent glory of winning has faded. I like her, but she seems like she could be a bit high maintenance. He seems like a nice midwest guy, hardworking, and a tad arrogant. I definitely like him the best of all past Idol winners though. This will be the first American Idol artist CD that I will purchase. Good luck to David Cook, I think this big break is well deserved.

Ya she seems to be quite genuine, clever and funny as well.I just finished watching L. king idol pt. 2 . Its central time here. Larry asked Cookie about their friendship and he responded by saying something to the effect that there could be more then friendship in time but presently their work was keeping them both apart and busy, and kinda drifted off the subject with a…. maybe, well see! :smile:
