The key to this is who is #1 week-in week-out on dialidol? Every week, it is McCreery and he is far ahead of whomever is in 2nd place. This result would indicate that he is somewhat immune to any large vote totals not for him on the other 2 venues: text & web site (limited to 50).
The 2 recent Thursday Results Shows that “seem” to place him in the bottom 2 were for AI “theatrics” and not really a reflection of the actual vote totals… that is if you watched (and listened) closely to how Seacrest presented the safe and the jeopardy contestants.
IMIO, if McCreery’s dialidol “run-away” #1 stats continue the same as it has for months now, he will be crowned the 2011 American Idol on May 25th.

Dude, you’re just flat wrong. If it was a popularity contest, then Haley would be gone and James would still be there. James has been gettin’ free rides for about three weeks now. His performances have been flat and messy. He needed to concentrate more on singing well and hitting notes than running around high-fiving the audience. If he had done that, then he might still be there…
Although I am lostin the 50s and listen mainly to the black groups (I’m an old white guy), I enjoy watching “Idol” . That is . . .until tonight.
“Idol” has proven to be a popularity contest and little else. With my three favorites out (and the most talented) I am finished with the season. ..
As far as I am concerned, James is the winner.
NOTE: AI, if you want an audiance next year, start charging for votes via a (900) number or keep voting to the Internet where you can limit one vote for each e-mail name.
Does it really matter who wins anymore? AI is self-destructing slowly, but surely. Folks have moved on to something else. Why? Boredom. Bored with staged drama, bored with self-promotion of guest mentors, bored of Seacrest and his childish banter, bored of bringing in the multitude of props, choirs, magic tricks, bored of the same old same old format, bored with the words/phrases of “beautiful”, ‘in it to win it”, “in your lane” and ‘pitchy but sincere’.
AI knows who they want to make them money. They bait and switch to the voter’s frustration.
It doesn’t really matter. The kids really just want to go home and sleep in their own rooms. And as for James, he just wants to find a job.
These polls mean nothing…..it is who gets the most votes from the nationwide count…..how many people did this poll include……..10? So 9 out of the 10 like Lauren…..she needs to go home….getting kind of sick of her “good girl” routine and how the judges are always saying she sings like an angel….she is too young and if she is voted off……she will have a nervous breakdown…..at least Haley knows what it is like to be criticized and can take it….she actually deserves to stay in this competition….too many “I wanna be like Carrie Underwood” females around here….
I think Scotty ruled last night, with Lauren a close second. Both are perfect examples of talented, charming, young Americans, and very good role models for the youth of America. Good luck to both.
Well, I think one of the guys is going home this week…neither gave an outstanding performance and it is time America stop coddling them… IMO, they have nice voices but are just not superior enough to win this contest…There is only one that has it all going for her….and only one.
Good to see Lauren at least ahead of James, like she should be. Granted Dial Idol isn’t that accurate anymore, but it’s still good to see on some scale, even if just this one, Lauren is beating out James.
Though it really doesn’t matter who falls last on the idol scale, all I desire is to see James and his “America ROCKS!” shit sent home.
Dialidol just may be right about who is leaving. I’m not so sure about Lauren being second to Scotty unless it’s bottom two bounce working in her favor.
