Here are your Dialidol predictions for tonight. May be a bit shocking to some seeing that most people thought Kristy Lee did so awful and she isn’t on the bottom. I guess anything could happen and probably will. So what do you think? Leave your thoughts in a comment.

Also, the fact that Ramiele continues to hover in the middle of the voting every week bodes pretty well for her, especially since her performances have been below average for the last few weeks. If she EVER breaks out with a stellar performance, she could turn the tide…
The results look a little weird to me. If David Archuleta gets this much support after a so-so performance with multiple forgotten lyric moments, just think what he’ll draw on good nights. His fan base must be gigantic and unwavering. The only surprise will be who earns the 2nd spot on the finale…
Doesn’t sound fair to me. I thought Idol was all about giving unknown new comers a chance. No wonder, Randy loves her. Must admit she does have more talent than some of the remaining contestants. She will be around for a while.
Okay, so I am new to American Idol this year. Well, at least I’ve been follwoing it from the beginning and just found this blog.
Very interesting comments.
By the way, I do not like Carly either but the judges just LOVE her. I also heard that she had a previous record contract through Randy. Is that just a humor or does anyone have confirmation?
ALSO, I really cannot take Amanda’s scratchy-screaming vocals and plan on voting for Kristy until Amanda gone.
Welcome to American Idol and our little home on the web. As for the contract with Randy. Yes it is true. Carly recorded a record in 2002 that tanked and yes Randy was a producer on it :)
2 mess-ups? This may be his only mess-up so far,. ADIP wasn’t even bad, it was really okay. The judges just thought they “had” to diss him that night. It’s clearly a 3-1 record.
I agree. In fact I would say ADIP was fabulous (well, OK, listen to it 30 times like I have and you will concur) I can’t wait to hear him sing when he is healthy, rested, and used to the adulation.

as long As kristy doesn’t go I’m cool!!!
I really don’t think Kristy will go tonight. I have been wrong before but I am really feeling it will be either Chikezie, Syesha or David H.
Keep in mind we really don’t know if the person with the lowest votes really is the one going home. This is a show and it is about money. The producers will send home whoever they think will make them the least amount of money. Right now I think that is Chikezie, Syesha and David H.
Yes Kristy wasn’t the best last night but it could have been worse. She took the advice of the comments, went to her country roots and got slammed for it. Your damned if you do and damned if you don’t
aww I’d. Love that I think chikize will be out but as long as kristy staysin I’m cool

I hate being in that position. It makes me want to lash out at whoever’s handy. I have changed jobs more than once because of it! I think Simon needs a 2X4 reminder against the side of his blocky head at times.
chikezie’s performance was stellar last night. still can’t wait to see ramiele, brooke and carly go bye-bye. there’s just something about them that i don’t like.
Chikezie was good last night. However, I still like Brooke best. Just shows the range of opinions we enjoy on Idolbloglive.
It looks like Syesha may be finished tonight. We don’t have long to wait, now.

Who’s going home tonight? TradeSports has an interesting answer.

I do not care about David A. at all. he is so obviously a plant. All the country hicks from the midwest are voting for Kristy. blech!
Good thang most of us hicks don’t have access to that there internet thingy! Yup, else you’d be steppin on some toes BIG time with yer uber elitist sophisticated commentary!
:em62:
Ditto from this country hick too.
Am I the only one that just doesn’t care for Carly at all? I just wonder.
I don’t like her voice either. She is okay and last night was actually the first song from her that that was nice for me. I know a lot a people like her but so far it’s just not the same for me.
how about ramielle until when she will stay?
I’m not sure if my Ramiele will ever step up to the plate and show off her pipes. Maybe never. She’s playing it WAY safe which will probably spell doom for her in the next few weeks :em28:
Ramielle will be there as long as her fans wants her to be. She has a soothing voice but needs guidance in choosing her songs.
how about ramielle until when she will stay?
Chikezie is still laughing his head off… :em32: his performance was great, but look at Babyface Archuletta–he messed up big time. I posted on my Idol blog
http://blogontap.com/american_idol_7_recap_and_predictions/
that Kristy will go home, as for the guys–who knows??
Am I the only one that just doesn’t care for Carly at all? I just wonder.
I don’t like her AT ALL–voice, looks, anything. She completely rubs me the wrong way.
But I know (and respect that) other people do think she’s the one.
I dont care for her at all either…..I do think she can sing, but she just doesnt do anything for me.

Wow, it certainly was a night full of surprises. Kristy’s song was a mess, she should go. The underdog Chikezie delivered a great performance so people may vote for him to stay one more week. David Hernandez is in danger, as Krisy’s looks may win over his singing. And Archuleta, wonderful performance and missing words, ummmmm!
I just didn’t care for the Beatles at all. I knew their slow beautiful ballads would be boring for the competition and the faster paces songs to me are boring. I am glad that’s over. My favorites continue to be David Archuleta and Ramiele, although they really have to step it up from now on and have nothing but flawless performances.
Even David A’s biggest fans admit he had a terrible night and yet he seems to have run the table with the votes. This is discouraging. He may have the best voice (as many claim-I disagree by the way ) but he clearly is NOT the best SINGER. His interpretive skills are, ahem, slim at best and he has no real personality on stage. He seems like a perfectly nice kid with a good instrument but he is even less developed then last year’s bubbly youthful winner. :em71:
Chikeze and Brooke definately were the best last night. Chikeze really proved himself!!!! I think David H, Syesha or Ramiele will be the one to go. I was really disappointed in their performances. Kristy has it in her, just has to get the right song. David A. didn’t choose the right song, but he is only 17 and not familiar with the Beattles era, although it carries on yet today and forever. Really enjoyed several of last night’s perfomances, voted for 7 out of 12, touch call!!!! :em56:
I’m not ready to give up on Archuleta, either. His voice is too good and he has had some great performances in the past.
Chikeze and Amanda impressed me the most tonight. Here are two singers that I predicted before last night’s show would be in the bottom 3, and instead I rank them 1-2. Stunning.
I guess I am alone in liking Kristy’s performance. Give her credit for at least trying to make a song interesting. Unlike Ramiele, who has a great voice but about as much personality and originality as a rock.
This year, more than any previous season, I think originality is what will determine the winner. It is not enough any more to just have a good voice – it is what you can do with it.
David A. did mess up tonight with the lyrics, but his vocals are still right on. I disagree that he had a “bad performance” last week – it was a good performance (remember he had strep throat), although people are going to be comparing all his performances to “Imagine”, which is going to be difficult for him to top. But the boy CAN SING and that’s hard to deny. He also has legions of fans that will support him no matter what, knowing that he has the talent to win it. He will bounce back and be in top form again next week and people will love him even more for doing it.
Go, David!
I agree. People who love him will continue to vote for him no matter what. Especially since, in my opinion, and obviously a lot of other people’s opinions, he has by far the best VOICE.
People Magazine are predicting that the final two will be David Archleta and Carly Smithson. Both have excellent vocals. But David A. is still my favorite.
I am guessing either Syesha or David Hernandez will be going home. I hope it’s David H., but I have a feeling it will be Syesha.
Twelve more hours and we will find out ! :em78:
I didn’t like Archuletta’s performance tonight. I actually thought Brooke was by far the best, followed by Chikezie, David Cook and Carly, in that order. Brooke’s heartfelt performance was moving and beautiful. In spite of Ryan and the shoes.
I thought the same, except that I didn’t like Brooke as the “best”. She’s good, but it seems like most of what she’s done is a copy of the original (except for Love is a Battlefield). I much prefer hearing the singer arrange the song in a different way, like David C’s “Hello”. I’m not worried for David A though, one poor performance for him doesn’t spell the death knell.
Kristy Lee Cook, one of the last 12 finalists on this season’s American Idol is in a provocative video for a toothbrush. Check it out here. http://www.kristyleecookhydrabrush.com

I’m very dissappointed, David A needed a wake up call to step it up, and he clearly won’t get it. Kristy Lee is too high as well, she deserved a wake up call as well….
Syesha always seems to be at the bottom. But I think it is David or Ramiele….

I couldn’t agree more. They will support him, “no matter what”… There’s the rub.

Archie number 1? That far ahead? Guess Simon won’t get his wish. This is nothing but a popularity contest. (bull) He was god awful (2 mess-ups, so what?). In a reasonable world he would be gone after that performance.(bull)
Y’know some people base opinions on past performances as well: I.E, Josiah in the auditions. Made it through to the show revelations even though his last performance was dreadful. David had one bad performance. Big deal. He had no experiance with the beatles. Less than a weak to learn it. If he wasn’t into it at a young age, what will change it when he’s older?
David has now had 2 bad performances in a row.
Amanda didn’t know the Beatles either. Almost all the contestants are young. Most were born 10-18 years after the Beatles broke up. He knew Imagine which isn’t exactly in his age group either…

Dear Slim:
Chikeze is far from my favorite, too, but damn! That was the bomb! I think David did so much damage tonight, he might be hit hard. The opening was weak, too, so Syesha could go.
