Dolly night has come and gone and now we must send another contestant packing. Predictions on the net have either Ramiele or Kristy going home tonight and I agree. I do think it will be Ramiele over Kristy but only time will tell. Should Kristy make it through another week I think people will freak out and call Idol a conspiracy. Personally I don’t think that is anything new. Votes are rigged and always have been.
So who is it that will be going home? Of course anything could happen as it did last week with Jason in the bottom 3. Sit back and relax. This is American Idol

Official Idol Going Home: Ramiele Malubay
Hey, guys! Angie here, once again, to fill you in on the fun and games of elimination night. What do YOU think will happen?
The show gets started with a group song of “9 to 5″ and it was oh so very bad from the dancing to the singing. Nobody was on it 100%. Thank goodness for commercials!
On a side note, (because they are showing recaps and really, who wants to relive it? Well, except for that uber-sexy Michael Johns performance..but I digress.) I wish Ryan would wear something else besides a suit. I don’t think he wears them well. Also, I love Dolly Parton!
Sofa vs Stools time, kids!
The votes are in and Ryan calls Michael Johns out first and he is SAFE! (Love it!)
Archie toddles out in his nice boy sweater and he is SAFE! (duh)
Carly is next in one of those unflattering tops and Ryan messes with her head for a minute then tells her she is SAFE!
Back from commercials and we are again tortured with calls from fans. Syesha, David Cook, Randy, Michael and Simon are the lucky ones, tonight. It was slightly less painful than previous weeks, but not much.
The Clark Brothers (winners of The Next Great American Band) perform for more time filler. Thanks Nigel.
The Ford video/commercial was funny tonight with the Idols singing, “It’s Tricky.” It even featured stunt doubles! Idol rocks!
Sofa vs Stools time again!
David Cook is SAFE on the sofa!
Ramiele, in a fashion disaster, is the first to take a stool.
Kristy comes out with a note in her hand that says, “Kristy’s seat” as she is sure that she will get a stool. Aaaand she does. (She’s just a bit too cocky for me, tonight.)
Back from commercials, again, and we get a “Where are they now?” segment featuring Bucky, Bo Bice and Phil Stacey.
Sofa vs Stools v3.0
Syesha is safely on the sofa.
Jason and Brooke are the last two out to the stage.
Jason is SAFE!! (yesssssss!! And all is right with the world.)
Brooke is not. (NOOOOO! Ok, ALMOST all is right with the world.)
Official Bottom 3: Kristy, Ramiele and Brooke
Next up is the weekly “Idol Gives Back” segment. Then Dolly sings, “Jesus and Gravity.” Hmm, I really should have listened to that song because, well, Jesus and Gravity? What the H? But, I had to go to the shoutbox and defend my girl Brooke from the meanie-pants people.
The lights are dimmed. Ryan sends Brooke to safety!! (YAY!)
Kristy is safe and Ramiele is serenaded home by Ruben. Ryan comforts Ramiele and then she sings us out.
So, what’d you guys think? I am personally happy with the results. It was time for Ramiele to go. Leave YOUR thoughts in the comments and come join us in the shoutbox for discussion. Until next week…Angie, out.
I don’t know what Kristy was thinking with that note she wrote and explained so sourly. Anyway, even if she had a chance to stay in, that was the last straw. Who would vote for someone with no confidence?
Carly’s shirt last night was hideous beyond belief. It’s almost like wardrobe is deliberately taunting Simon.
I thought Kristy was very funny last night with her sign and is showing great confidence and spunk. Not showing much of a voice but…she is well aware that she is on the bubble but she aslo knows as long as one person a week is off their game and gives a bad showing and if Simon calls them on it, she is good for surviving another week in the bottom 3. Her time is running out as the remaining players have all shown they are very capable but themes can kill anyone.
poor Ramiele..
based on the performances.. i agree that Ramiele is deserving to be voted off..
but if it is based on talents, skills, charisma and such.. i think ramiele is one of the top..
If you have the above (skill, charisma and talents) , then the performance would have been on top also. Ramiele is a cute girl and with some vocal coaching and and acting class or two (to help her show emotion during a song) and luck, as being on top has a lot to do with luck, she may just do well for herself. :em47:

What have you got against Miley. I took three (3) 11 year old girls to her concert and I have to say – she throws a good show. (FYI – the three of them are all BIG David Cook fans)
Looking forward to the Studio Versions !! :em34:

Actually, I read Miley Cyrus will be on next week during American Gives Back, a 2 1/2 hour show beginning at 7:30P.M. !!!
NOOOOOOoooooooo!
Although again, thank you TIVO!!!!!!!!!
I think it was Ramiele’s time to leave. But I was really surprised that Brook was in the Bottom Three ! :em28:
I thought for sure it would be Ramiele, Kristy and Jason in the Bottom Three, with Ramiele going home. It might be Kristy’s turn next week. Time will tell. It’s almost like she’s made up her mind already that she will be leaving soon. But seeing how Kellie Pickler is doing well, I’m sure Kristy will also, since in my opinion, Kristy is a much better singer than Kellie ever was.
And so much for American Idol “keeping her in because the producers didn’t want to get the Phillipines upset” was just another tabloid gossip theory and NOT a “known fact” as previosly reported . So my faith in American Idols voting system has been restored !
Hi. . .as a lover of Dolly, I was really surprised that she seemed off key and shouting last night. As another poster said, if she had to go before the judges, I’m not sure what Simon would have said. If he were being honest, he wouldn’t have liked that performance OR song.
On another note. . .David A is still my favorite and I hope he wins. Even though Carly has a good voice, I believe she already had a multi million dollar record contract and didn’t make good with it. . .so, I’d like to see someone who has never been signed to a record deal get a chance.
Just my opinion. . .
Hope David A continues to pick the right songs. ..because that’s the only way he is assured safety. The public is fickle! He has a beautiful voice and smile. Go DAVID A!
I think at 63 years old, Dolly’s voice is just plain TIRED. She is quite funny, though. She sure can TALK,TALK,TALK !! :em66: She seems to be such a heartwarming person.
And of course, I agree with you 100% on David A. The boy with the gift of a beautiful voice ! I am looking forward to buying his first album !

America got it right this week. it was time for rami to leave even though it was sad to watch her cry. i loved the Clark bros last night, they’re talented guitarists. kristy lee is living on borrowed time. i honestly hate to listen to her sing or speak. in my opinion she’s annoying and has a bad attitude. i thought that Brooke belonged in the bottom 3 last night even though i do like her.
Michael and David C I absolutely love – even though 2 weeks ago i was ready for Michael to be gone – Rock on! :em02:

Picking my words carefully – I am not sure having a previous record deal is much different than having a previous talent competition victory under your belt.
I also still believe that David A is going to wind up in the Melinda slot (3rd). While he has the age thing on his side (as did J Sparks last year) he is not showing “growth” week to week – neither did Melinda, they are both primarily “consistent” whereas Sparks did show growth. I think David C may fit that bill more closely.

What was up with the sound mix and mics last night? 9-5 was peppy and all but it seemed like the mics kept cutting out and while they have drowned out the singers with the band several times this year due to “mixing” errors, I didn’t expect them to do it to Dolly!

Elyza, not trying to get involved in that particular discussion…. I only was responding to the part of the message that I didn’t cut out (which is exactly why I removed the rest).
Between the Clark Brothers – Little Light of Mine – and Dolly – Jesus and Gravity – it felt more like a downhome gospel concert then American Idol goes country. Also is it just me or if she was a contestant, would Simon have said Dolly was shouting and would Randy have saad “aight but a little pitchy.”

You guys need to relax and leave each other alone or your comments will be deleted. No personal attacks are wanted here.
Its a sad day for ramiele fans.
rickey was right spot on. putting her third to sing ended her journey. it was strategically dangerous, i guess the producers wanted that since country wasnt her forte
in a separate interview ramiele also mentioned that country was the genre she can least sing favorably.
i wish her all the best. shes got great charisma, the makings of an idol, a big voice.
the only thing lacking was experience which the other contestants obviously have.

I hope David A, David C, Michael J, Carly and Brooke for the top 5.
(won’t miss Jason C, Kristy LC or Syesha M)
I’m listening to Clark Brothers again, and found performances on YouTube…. they’re great! I don’t really care for country music, but I love bluegrass, yet this is something else entirely. What did someone say in the shoutbox…metal bluegrass? Alas, no album out since 2002. I have a feeling one is coming out soon though, or so my Magic 8 Ball tells me (thanks randomx6 for reminding me of its mysteriously accurate powers). :em52:
By the way, my son has a Homer Simpson Magic 8 Ball which is harder to interpret…. it said “Doh!”
