Idol Eve Season 10

Published on Jan 18, 2011 by in Blog News

Folks it is Idol Eve Season 10. Tomorrow night our favorite TV show returns with new judges, new changes and a new herd of kids who want to follow in the footsteps of such noble and top selling Idols like Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks and Fantasia Barrino (cough, cough). We are in countdown mode and awaiting the premiere on Wednesday night.

Not much will change around here this season. I will still live blog the performances, Queen Angie will blog the results. I will post polls, song spoilers and Dial Idol predictions each week along with the studio releases for your listening pleasure only (not for download).

The shoutbox will remain on the sidebar for live interaction throughout the season whether the show is on or not. Feel free to drop a thought or two. I have also added a bigger shoutbox if you would like to use it (http://idolbloglive.com/idolblog/shoutbox). There is a link to it on the top of the blog under the navigation section. Keep in mind that The Idol Radio Show website will also be sharing the shoutbox with us since we are once again partnering up with them. Yours truly we be joining Alan and Sir Darryl every other Wednesday on the show to discuss the performances. Of course you can listen to the show every Wednesday and Thursday night at 11PM EST by clicking the big red listen live button on the sidebar. Yes we are live this Wednesday (1/19/10).

The biggest change this season on the blog is my integration with Facebook. Users can simply connect via Facebook (on sidebar) and comment away using their Facebook username and password. This simplifies a lot of things. Anyone with an old account can still login in the old way if they prefer.

I have also added the ability for you to share any of the posts to your Facebook friends. I encourage you to do this as it helps the site get more exposure. If you like a post or enjoy something share it with your Facebook friends by simply hitting the Share button at the top of the post.

Lastly is the idolbloglive.com Facebook Fan Page. Please if you are an Idol fan take a second and head to the Fan Page and hit the “like” button at the top. This will help us grow and will deliver any Idol updates directly to your Facebook news feed. How convenient. Tell your friends to like us too.

That about does it. I am excited for the season and hope to see many of the regulars around again. If you have any thoughts or ideas please leave them in a comment. First live blog is Wednesday night at 8PM. Hope to see you all there.
