Judges Thoughts : (R) Truth is reality. You are the truth. You do what you do. I love that girl. That girl is hot. (E) Raw, natural talent. I am so glad you are here today. You are amazing. (K) You completely recovered from last week. You come out here effortless and it is coming from your heart. Tonight you hit a new level. (S) You didn’t play the sympathy thing. You picked a great song. The vocal was incredible. This was the moment we realized we have a serious artist here.

Song Title : “The Climb”
Judges Thoughts : (R) It didn’t work for me. It was excruciating. You can sing but it was so pitchy and not like you. You had no connection with the song. (E) You’re adorable. You didn’t connect to the song and it was like you just memorized the song and you sang it. It didn’t work out. (K) You’re open on the stage, you’re always smiling but you need about a year of strengthening your instrument. (S) It was a complete and utter mess.

Song Title : “Kiss Me”
Judges Thoughts : (R) I think it was a good choice but I felt like I was at karaoke. You didn’t do anything special with it. (E) You didn’t change it up but it was adorable. It was the right song. (K) Last week you were losing your tone, this week you brought it back with this song but you have to step it up. You didn’t push it to where it could have gone. (S) It was marginally better than last week. You are taking part in the competition and not showcasing as an artist. We aren’t going to remember it.

Song Title : “Put Your Records On”
Judges Thoughts : (R) There were some bright moments. You can tackle things that are a bit more difficult. Believe a little bit more that you can tackle bigger songs. (E) You have a great voice and you sang it well. I don’t want to hear something I would hear in my dentist office. (K) I am so frustrated with you. At the end of the song you started opening up. You have to be doing that the first time you open your mouth. I am still waiting for that moment with you. (S) You did take notes. You need to tell us what kind of recording artist you want to be. You will stay around another week but it wasn’t a winning performance.

Song Title : “Lean On Me”
Judges Thoughts : (R) I would have not chosen a soul song like that for you. It shows your imperfections. (E) I love your voice. You have a great voice. I don’t know if that was the greatest song choice. (K) It wasn’t good. You were trying to do a lot of things and we lost the uniqueness but I am still a fan. (S) It was all over the place. It was screeching. Bad choice of song.

Song Title : “With Arms Wide Open”
Judges Thoughts : (R) The outfit is hot, it is dope. You didn’t do enough with it. It fell flat. (E) You look fabulous. You did do a lot with the song. I forgot for a few moments that it was a rock song. There were some pitch problems. It almost worked but not quite. (K) My favorite performance of yours ever. It may have not have been technically perfect but you did something different with the song and I believed it. (S) I am kind of with Kara. I thought the first half was stronger then the second hat. You got 80% of it right.

Song Title : “A Change Is Gonna Come”
Judges Thoughts : (R) You are the most unique contestant. You do your thing. You worked it out. My favorite performance tonight. (E) You have got “it”. I forgot we were in a singing competition. The best performance of the night by far. (K) You just had your first moment in this competition. Thank god you tried out. Good job girl. (S) I thought it was good. I wasn’t crazy about it like the others.

Judges Thoughts : (R) I really liked it. It was way slow but I still liked it. It was nice to hear you play the piano. (E) I like that you were playing piano. I feel kind of asleep. It was so slow. Way to slow. People can’t vote if they are asleep. (K) I kind of love you. You have an incredible instrument but you are switching around. You are all over the place but you are really good. Figure out who you are real quick. (S) I thought it was a smart choice of song. It made you contemporary. It was a million times better than last week.

Song Title : “Walk Away”
Judges Thoughts : (R) I liked it. I wasn’t in love. You have this big voice. Not the best choice. I wanna hear you hit the big notes. (E) I loved it. I thought it was fantastic. I like everything you did with it. You changed just enough to make it yours. You had fun. (K) I could see you having a hit with that song. I missed the connecting with the angry song. You did have some moments. (S) I agree with Randy. 2 weeks in a row you have failed to pick a good song. You are making bad decisions.

Judges Thoughts : (R) You are so bold and it was dope. You slayed it. I loved it. (E) I loved it. That was good. (K) I can’t get over that note. I don’t know how you do that. (S) You are such a strange person. I thought there were parts that were terrible but that note was incredible. You are talented.

I am not sure it was better than last week. A couple of girls did awesome but the majority were awful again.

So glad Crystal bounced back. I hope she can stay healthy, this show really needs her./*Haeley should go home. Kara is right, she is not ready for the big stage yet./*Lacey is still tone deaf and so is anyone who thinks she can sing./*The judges were way harsh on “Katie”, She nailed the song pretty close imo./*Didi did pick a poor song for her voice. I just love her though./*Michelle gets a D- from Slim, Whoooa!She was better last week for sure. The problem with Haeley is that her lips don’t come together completely when she speaks… or sings for that matter. Alot like someone shot up with novocaine. So it becomes “ovver” instead of “other”. I hope she gets the boot soon.

Randy keeps saying ‘you are dope’…did he get that from john mayer(sp) who said that jessica Simpson was like cocaine, and now that is the new expression? Or is he being a copy cat because he thought it was a neat thing to say…I personally don’t like that expression. You are dope..well, maybe in the bedroom…
Glad to see Crystal back in top form tonight. This competition tonight would have been in a tailspin without her. Best of the night: Crystal, Katie, Katelyn, Lily, and Siobhan. Didi was awful! Michelle, safe again but horrible outfit! This vote may be too close to call.

Didi is awesome!!! WHAT’S UP WITH THE JUDGES??? I admit, the girls aren’t doing as well as I expected at this point, but don’t punish them all for what the others are doing. The judges are apparently not hearing what we are. Didi did an awesome job with that song. She changed it up, made it her style, without losing her uniqueness and she made the song sound wonderful, without taking away from it. Whaqt the judges want is beyond me this year. And without Paula, Simon’s comments just seem rude and irrelevant.

I thought Lilly did a good job with this song. But Crystal is my favorite so far this week.

Lilly– I just like this girl. I really liked her take on A Change is Gonna Come. She’s almost up there with Crystal for me. Almost, but not quite. Good for her!

Every time Simon agrees with Kara, Kara gets this self-satisfied look on her face the cat that ate the canary. We need some bodily separation between those two anyway – the constant shoulder rubbing makes it look like Kara can’t get far enough away from Ellen.
Michelle— Not a fan. Also, we got to hear every breath she took. She is forgettable to me.
She also may have starched a tablecloth around her hips. Not sure. It’s the new version of the napkin dress that was so popular last year.
Wrong song choice for Didi. That’s too bad, because I do like her voice. Reminds me of Megan’s voice from last season. I think she might be safe for another week.
Didi–Not really a great song choice for her. She is too soft and doesn’t have enough power for “Lean On Me.” I do like her voice, but this was not her best. She should stay over Haeley and probably Lacey.

Katie–I think she picked a great song and the judges were too hard on her. Katie has a wonderful voice and I don’t think she has really shown it’s true potential yet. Tonight, I liked her a lot. She was worlds better than Haeley.

Besides being adorable, I thought Katie did a wonderful job. And I think we will be seeing her again next week.
At this point, I think both Haeley AND Lacey are in trouble. But then again, I expected Haeley was going home last week too.
Simon with the Kelly Clarkson comparison! The anointing of a front runner right there. She should headline Lilith 2010!

Haeley’s singing was as bad this week as it was last week. My opinion, of course.
