I’m tired of all the hype that Danny and Adam have received. They are good singers, but singers like Matt Giraud deserve just as much praise. Matt not only deserves it but has earned it. I don’t get Alexis. She’s dull and only an average singer. She wasn’t that good tonight when she sang Jolene. It would be a shame if she ended up in the top 4 based on all the performances she’s given so far.

I would agree with this, but I do think someone like Matt G or Michael Sarver can be a sleeper. They could build a fan base large enough that the producers cannot ignore.
I would not be surprised if Adam Lambert or Alexis Grace peak in popularity early in the competition and then have trouble holding on to their fan base late in the game.

I think Lil has the much better voice. I never could get the attraction of Fantasia’s voice, it grated on my last nerve. Even Summertime, which was supposed to be this great performance, to me just sounded like a nasal train wreck. Obviously this is only MY OPINION, no need for anyone to get all upset. Just goes to show how different we all are.

I was certainly surprised when Cook won. Archie got all the coverage and the pimping was so utterly blatant the jedges might as well have come right out and said, “We don’t give a rat’s ass who you vote for, Archuletta is going to win!”

Then in the end, everything turned completely around for Cook. At the time I was still hurting over Brooke getting screwed by the judges. That too was as blatant as a slap in the face and Brooke knew it the whole time.

Sorry the confusion…that Lil/Fantasia quote is from the Idol Staffer. Their stories are similar but i don’t see the resemblance in look or voice. Fantasia ca sing Lil into the ground (IMHO)for[/quote]

They don’t sound alike, but I think they look alike NOW. Fantasia has recenly lost a lot of weight, so she looks so much different than the way she use to look.

Well, those are 4 of the contestants who got A LOT of coverage since the beginning… and they are the ones with “the whole package”… although I would love Michael to be there, but i dont think so… his voice is not that great and his background doesn’t have enough drama for pity…
