1.
What drove me CRAZY while watching this was the commentary by the NBC guys. I don’t even know who was doing it, but as soon as Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin were done, they were completely dismissive to Izbasa as she was performing. What I mean is, they were saying, “So, Shawn Johnson will leave here with the Gold….etc” I was like, ‘Hello?? Are you WATCHING this girl??’ I can hardly stand to watch ANY of the Olympics with the sound on. Seriously.
2. Well hello! Did anybody followed gymnastics from the get go. Gymnastics is a sport of deductions. As the coveted “perfect 10″ is no longer awarded now they give deductions for anything. The American team went into every routine knowing they already had deductions just for being American. Bella Karoly couldn’t hide his disgust with the deductions and neither could I. Rumania and US kept cosntantly getting low scores on outstanding routines while Chine balance checks and all kept getting high scores.
