I think she sounds a little like Duffy and I’m a big fan of that kind of music, anyway all the girls are (at least in the next few weeks) going to have to do somthing special if they want to have a fighting chance, they are seriously outnumbered this season and Megan imo belongs in the top 5

Season 1 – Kelly was pimped after her semi-final
Season 2 – Clay and Ruben were the Golden 2 all season
Season 3 – Fantasia was the favorite from Day #1
Season 4 – Carrie was always a judge/producer favorite
Season 5 – Taylor received crazy buzz leading into Semis
Season 6 – Jordin Sparks was always in the competition
Season 7 – David Cook was the commercial advertising Hollywood Week. Once he sang “Hello” during the Semis, he was locked as a frontrunner.

Dr. E, I must now respectfully post a dissenting opinion. Idolfan is hardly the first person to say someone sucks on the blog this season. If Slim and the mods want to eliminate the term, no problem on my side, but I think it is unfair to single this particular poster out. Just my thought.

I also disagree with Melinda being the chosen one in season 6. Jordin/Lakesha were the ones. Simon was the only one who had Melinda #1.
I’m pretty happy with the top 13 (I was actually hoping for a top 13 but didn’t expect it. I wish Juno’t had made it to the wild card round atleast) My FAVORITES are Adam and Megan – I also have a hunch they probably won’t go as far as they deserve to go (especially Megan) as they are the kind you’ll either love or hate…I love Allison’s voice and think Danny and Lil’ Rounds are amazing singers. Eveybody loves Anoop and so do I..Also Matt Giraud. I didn’t find Kris Allen very interesting till I heard his rendition of Somewhere on the rainbow (courtesy youtube)-that guy can sing! ALso Jasmine Murray doesn’t interest me that much but all the contestants are very likeable (which obviously contributed to them being chosen)..Scott is not the greatest singer but his vocals are pretty moving (and NOT because he is blind)..I wasn’t a Jorges fan till this week- he is so endearing and charming – it is impossible not to like him.

I think the rest are destined for early elimination as none of them, except Jorge, who I admit that I like, have the personality or the voice to win unlike personalities like Jasmine, Lil, Anoop, Alexis and Scott, or voices like Danny, Adam, Lil, Allison, somewhat megan, and somewhat Jasmine. My definite favorites are Jasmine, Lil, and Danny, but I also like Anoop, Matt, Adam, Allison, and Scott. I think that it will be a good competition with many diverse voices.

Alexis Grace to me is still the most interesting and she is still my favorite. Usually when you have favorites, they kind of stick. So I’m hoping she can pull off some hell of performances because she needs it to not be overshadowed.

-Megan Corkrey (though she needs to work on those darn vocals!)
-Jasmine Murray’s VOICE is overshadowing her personality
