I think you are underestimating Simon (or the Producers). She was put through because of that. They hoped she would crash and burn in a big way and they got what they wanted. The girl is gone and she is still who everyone is talking about. No talent but good reality TV. Unfortunately she took Rose out with her. Now, I hope, back to the singing[/quote]
Random is absolutely right. In fact, I don’t think that she crashed and burned as badly as TPTB had hoped for.
Afterall, this is entertainment and reality television first and foremost. Finding the next pop star is a distant second objective. The only thing that remains to be done this season is determine which one or two contestants will make the top 12 that don’t really belong there (Sanjaya, Chicken Little, etc.). If America doesn’t vote an underserving talent into the top 12, you can bet that the judges will use the wild card slots to fill that void.
