Random is absolutely right. In fact, I don’t think that she crashed and burned as badly as TPTB had hoped for.
Afterall, this is entertainment and reality television first and foremost. Finding the next pop star is a distant second objective. The only thing that remains to be done this season is determine which one or two contestants will make the top 12 that don’t really belong there (Sanjaya, Chicken Little, etc.). If America doesn’t vote an underserving talent into the top 12, you can bet that the judges will use the wild card slots to fill that void.
