The 2 night American Idol premiere continues with more auditions. Tonight takes us to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Will we find some talent? Be sure to leave your favorites tonight in the comments.

I don’t do full blogs during the audition episodes. They are just to boring. A full live blog will begin when the contestants hit the stage and sing for America’s vote. If anyone would like to try their hand at live blogging an audition episode please let me know.

Lythgoe Will Pay Seacrest’s Salary

Nigel Lythgoe is so scared that Ryan Seacrest and American Idol producers won’t come to a contract deal at the end of season 11 that he has publicly stated he would use his own money to make up any difference in Ryan’s salary to keep him on the show. This comes a midst rumors that Ryan is holding out for X Factor.

Ryan Seacrest should fear not if producers cut his “American Idol” salary for next season, because we’ve learned Nigel Lythgoe has vowed to make up the difference … out of his own pocket.

There have been a few reports that producers may try to cut Ryan’s paycheck — estimated at $15 million for this season. Nigel is telling people Ryan is “extremely important” to the show and doesn’t know how it could work as well without him.

Nigel says if production starts slashing, he’ll start cashing to keep R.S. on board.

Tent Girl Has Criminal Past

Tent Girl Amy Brumfield from the American Idol audition in Savannah last night has a LONG criminal record according to TMZ. Yeah a bad ass on the show.

American Idol” wannabe Amy Brumfield … the 24-year-old singer who lives in a tent … has a LONG criminal record … revealing a serious battle with alcohol.

According to police records obtained by TMZ, Brumfield has been arrested at least 6 times in the past 7 years … with 3 arrests involving booze.

Brumfield — who blew the “Idol” judges away with her rendition of Superwoman by Alicia Keys — was arrested in Tennessee on August 22, 2010 after cops say she was so drunk, she peed on herself in the lobby of a Baskin Robbins.
Just 9 days before that — on August 13 — she was arrested in front of the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen … after cops say she was displayed “extreme intoxication” … and was “trying to find someone to take her home.”

Brumfield was arrested twice in 2007 — once for unlawful detainer (staying at a property after her lease had ended). The other arrest was for underage consumption of alcohol — for which she pled guilty and was sentenced to probation.

Brumfield was also arrested in 2005 for criminal trespass on private property — the details around that incident are unclear.

Astro Signs With Epic Records

Chris Rene signed with Epic Records the other day and now Astro has signed on as well.

Former “X Factor” contestant Astro, who locked horns with show creator Simon Cowell, has inked a record deal with Epic, the Daily News has learned.

“It’s amazing. It feels great,” the 15-year-old Brooklyn rap phenom said.

“It’s like a dream. . . . I can finally say I’m working on my album.”

It’s no coincidence that the chairman and CEO of Epic Records is L.A. Reid, one of the judges on the show. Reid served as Astro’s mentor on the show.

Astro, whose real name is Brian Bradley, made it to the top 10 of the popular Fox television talent show — and not without clashing with Cowell.

Astro, who was among the final seven contestants, drew flak for his cocky attitude.
