Having finally made it to the Top 12 the competition enters a new stage. Now instead of getting rid of four people each week all we have to do is send one home. Plus the guys and girls get the chance to sign together which in my opinion makes the competition a lot fairer.
Now is your chance to get your Pre – Performance predictions in for this week. Simply take a second and leave a comment with who you think will be in the bottom 3 and who you think will be going home before seeing the performances. Since only one will be going home it makes things a bit harder so get those thinking caps on and leave your best guess.
Slim’s Bottom 3 : Amanda Overmyer, Chikezie Eze, Dave Hernandez
Slim’s Pick to Leave : Amanda Overmyer
Note : Prediction post will close just before the performances on Tuesday.

:em78: Glad to hear that some of you young’ns have heard some of the greatness of the Beatles. I can completely understand that there are people who don’t like the Beatles just as easily as I can understand that there are people who don’t like any other artist we could name. It’s perfectly all right to have your own tastes in music.
Incidentally, I wasn’t an instant Beatles fan in ’62. It took some time for them to grow on me. By ’64 however, I was hooked. Beatles rock!

Imagine is not a Beatles song…)
No it is John Lennon, but close enough. Close enough for horseshoes and British Bands

I have to agree with you, I am not a fan of the Beatles either, even though they were in my “era”. Just never cared for them. I don’t think Amanda will do poorly tonight, she did say she grew up listening to the older music, I suspect she was a Beatles kinda gal.
I also agree with your other post that Asia’h should still be here instead of Kristy. I don’t care for Kristy. I would like to see her gone, but I particularly do not care for the Carly. She is a ringer, she knows it and she is very smug about it. Little David, I do like, however, he is another ringer. Jason Castro has grown on me. I think he will atleast make it to the final 5.
Hi Jose
So nice to see you here and commenting again :em02:

Christy should have been gone last week but popularity won her a spot over talen, Asiah was definitely better than her. Her beautiful face may carry her to next week again while unpopular Chikeze may get the boot. Amanda and rock will stay for a couple more shows.
:em41: It doesn’t matter if they are old enough to know the Beatles they have parents and grandparents who more than likely played them over and over, because they are a great band.. I am 23.. The Beatles rocked!! We are lucky we still get to see one perform to this day, who keeps the legend going.. David Archuleta will kick ass with any Beatle song he picks.. Because he knows good music!!
These 12 people are all too young to have known the Beatles the way some of us old guys do. I’m 25 and I know of…maybe 2 or 3 Beatles songs. That’s it. And none of my friends younger than me know any more than I do, I can guarantee that. It’s only my 30+ friends who know any more about the Beatles! That’s why I think the Beatles are going to present quite a challenge tonight for some of the contestants…but I do think David A will probably come out on top on this one, though he’s the youngest!
I thought so too Driiler, but then maybe the band was too loud. He was one of my favorites last year.
However, I am glad to see that AI is pimping former Idol contestants and not other artists. I thought the guests last year, like Fergie and Robin Thicke, were totaly usesless.

I gotta admit, Blake was not impressive last week. His vocals were very weak.
You are a ornery one Rob
Yes I am >:)
You are a ornery one Rob
I’m okay with anyone sticking around except:
Chikeze Eze
Amanda Overmyer
And Amanda, don’t stop at the pub or the strip joint on the drive home :em77:
OMG, he didn’t just say that…
I just kidding!
Couldn’t resist :em46:
These 12 people are all too young to have known the Beatles the way some of us old guys do. I hope they don’t make too big a mess of it.
That would have been cool Timm
This is where Blake Lewis would excel. I would have loved to see him beatbox to “I Am the Walrus” … in his own quirky arrangment.
Kristy might be able to sing a ballad like “Norwegian Wood” or “Eleanor Rigby”. Her twang may get her into trouble, though, unless she can come up with a unique arrangement. I’m hoping she pulls it off.
My hope is for Amanda to go home. Everything she sings sounds the same. Depending on what happens tomorrow it could be Chikezie or Ramielle with Amanda in the bottom 3. :em46:
Anne, I think you are right about the Beatles songs, I am hoping they prove us wrong. I just love to be surprised.
I am somewhat dreading Beatles night, actually…I don’t think that all of them can work with Beatles music well! We’ll just have to wait and see – and maybe we’ll get a few surprises along the way. Actually, I don’t even want to guess a real bottom 3 because I think (or maybe it’s “I hope”) from now on there will be some surprises. It’s the top 12 – people who have maybe been playing it safe to secure a spot can try stepping up a bit more and now that the contestants been weeded out a bit the real front runners will start to separate themselves a bit more. Let’s pick up the pace now, people!
That said, my guesstimate bottom 3 would be: Kristy Lee Cook, Chikeze Eze and Amanda Overmyer. (I think Kristy will have the hardest fight with Beatles music, which is why she’s in my bottom 3)
Joann, nobody hates Amanda. Some of just don’t like her voice and that is all there is to that. We are a diverse group here and everyone is allowed to have likes and dislikes, and to express them. We except you here and you like Amanda, that is your right. It would be very boring if we all liked the same music and singers. :em47:
Hope to see more of you around here :em63:
Ok I don’t know why everybody is hating on Amanda because she is really good and she is going no where anytime soon….. But definately the bottom 3 are Chikezie stinking eazy, Kristy, and Ramielle
Is this a case of having your cake and eating it too? Let’s see, don’t you all hate on Amanda, but meanwhile I really dislike “Chikeze stinking eazy”. Come on, now. Let’s relax and appreciate that we all have different musical tastes.
Ok I don’t know why everybody is hating on Amanda because she is really good and she is going no where anytime soon. My 3 picks of who in the bottom 3 is definately Chikezie stinking eazy, Kristy and Ramielle. I say Ramielle because she needs to step it up and she does not realize how good she really is. And if she keeps holding back and not showing her true potential, she will be in the bottom 3. But definately the bottom 3 are Chikezie stinking eazy, Kristy, and Ramielle
bottom 3: Kristy, Hernandez and Chikzi
home: chikzi
Chikezei
Amanda
and whoever not named Carly, Jason, Brooke or the android who gives a truly bad performance.
Chikezei goes.
Bottom 3: Kristy, Amanda, Chikezie
Going home: Kristy
Bottom 3: Kristy, Syesha, Amanda
Going Home: Syesha
Not exactly a fan of the girls, huh?
Although Cheezy could pull a rabbit out of the hat and do “Yesterday”. I think is suits his voice and he could get an arrangement that works for him. If that is the case, I see Amanda leaving.
I think I agree with Doc. and Tim.
That shouldn’t or suprise or offend anyone.
I’m going along with Slim except for the going-homer….
Bottom three: Amanda, Cheeze, David H.
Going home: Cheezy.
Sorry, but I don’t see Cheezy doing justice to a Beatle’s tune, but I may be wrong. Amanda, on the other hand, has a few decent song choices that would actually suit her gruff voice. “Revolution” is an example.
My bottom three: Chikezei, Amanda, Kristy
Who I wish and think would go home: Amanda / Chikezei :em72:
My top three as of now(LOL!): David Hernandez, Brooke White, Jason Castro
:em78: :em78: :em78:
I think Ramielle and Michael are dark horses to be eliminated earlier than people expect – but not this week. I will stick with Chikezie pending his and the other performances on Tuesday. Based on past performances, though, Amanda most deserves to be eliminated.
My bottom 3 will probably be Amanda, Kristy and maybe Chikezie.
I want Amanda gone, but it will probably be someone like Syesha.
I just saw your blog. Jameson says the cutest things! :em32: He really gives me a chuckle.
My bottom 3 will probably be Amanda, Kristy and maybe Chikezie.
I want Amanda gone, but it will probably be someone like Syesha.
Doc’s bottom three:
Amanda, Cheezy Chikezie, David Hernandez
Doc’s pick to go home:
Chikezie
Amanda still being pimped by VFTW will save her one more time. Hernandez has just enough fans to keep going another week.
Keep those calls going in for your favorites, It’s the only thing you can do to szve them!
hmmm….bottom 3…..syesha, chikeze and David H.
going home….chikeze
This is really a talented group of singers. I know someone has to go each week, but I’ve already fallen in like with all of them.
:em70:
Bottom three Syesha, Ramielle, Chikezie
Going home: Chikezie. Not who I would like to see going home (at least this week) but based on the comments that have been posted and who VFTW is backing.
Who I wish would be going home : Amanda
*reserve the right to change mind until after we see the show on Tues. and to see who vote for the worst will be backing at that point. It is a shame that VFTW even exists
I think Amanda, Chikezie, Kristy, and Hernandez are most vulnerable. Amanda, Chikezie, and Kristy will probably be in the bottom 3 and I think Chikezie will go. Amanda and Kristy I think have just enough of a fan base to keep them in a bit longer.
Bottom 3: Kristy, Syesha, Amanda
Going Home: Syesha
