Hi KymK
We are a fun group of people, and we hope to hear more from you :em21:
This is what I would like to happen…not necessarily how I think it WILL happen.
1. David A–I don’t care if he’s been singing his entire (short) life. I don’t care how “professional” he is. I don’t care if he is the chosen one (by the producers) I don’t care that people are so mean about how nice he is. I’d rather have a nice kid than a snotty back-talker who thinks he deserves the world. He seems to accept critique graciously and I love that. Not sure how marketable he is, but then, I have never cared about that aspect of the show. He’s a very talented kid. I sincerely hope he makes it as a singer.
2. Brooke–No, she can’t belt out big strong high notes. She’s not a diva. I don’t care. I find her refreshing. I enjoy listening to her.
3. Jason–Duuuude. I guess I just like the “nice guys” this year as proven here with 1, 2 and 3. I love that Jason seems just genuinely happy and mellow. No attitude. (actually, I wouldn’t mind if Jason was 2nd, but I am realistic and know he will most likely go way before this.)
4. Michael Johns–I don’t know, I just like him. Nope, he’s not the greatest singer ever, but he’s got sex-appeal and dang if that aussie accent doesn’t get me all hot and bothered. I loved “Don’t You Forget About Me.” Some of his lower register stuff makes me swoon a little.
5. David H–No other explanation than, I really like his voice. Isn’t that enough? :)
6. Carly–I generally think she is overrated, but she can sing! She’s another who seems…just..nice. Else she is a good actress. I love the soft brogue she has, too.
7. David C–I guess. He turned me off when he talked back and came across as a jerk. But, he was pretty good this past week.
8. Syesha–Great personality and beautiful smile. She just shouldn’t ever sing Whitney again. I hate Whitney songs. (8, 9 and 10 are interchangable for me. I don’t really care the order all that much.)
9. Ramiele–Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. I’m not much of a fan, though I do realize she can sing.
10. Chikezie–He’s ok, but destined to go soon. (hmm..I could put him as high as 9 maybe)
11. Kristy Lee–I agree with Simon. Forgettable. I call her generic.
12. Amanda–Sorry, my fellow Hoosier, but I want you gone. The only time I liked her was during auditions.
You guys are fun!
I love your predictions and you are right on! I agree whole-heartedly with every single one.
About David A: Whether you like him or not, he has the largest fan base that cuts across all demographics, and that means more votes.
I think the reason Rockers have not ever won is because the youngest and the oldest voters in the demographic don’t vote for them. Also, real rockers are probably a. not watching the show b. not voting even if they watch.
And David is unlike any other contestant on idol ever, plus he’s ridiculously talented (yes he is!) He’s also shown that he can outshine and outsing the other contestants on both up-tempo songs and ballads.
Most important reason he will win: He could stand on the stage, smile and go ‘ooh ooh’ a few times and still get votes. People can’t get over how he makes them feel and you can’t fake the light in his eyes. I just hope he doesn’t freak out.
Top Twelver for me:
12. Chikezei Eze – the guy can sing, but nothing fantastic about him.
11. Syesha Mercado
10. Ramiele Malubay – she’s relatively good, however, I think the other girls overshadow her.
9. David Cook – unlike other people, I don’t get the same admiration towards him. Yeah he’s good, he rocks, but that’s it.
8. Amanda Overmyer – her last week’s performance made her survive another week. I think in the course of the contest, she’ll crack.
7. Kristy Lee Cook – has some potential, but lacks charisma and personality.
6. Carly Smithson – errr. Got nothing to say about her. Something holds her back. And song choices, ugh.
5. Michael Lee Johns – someone who will surprise America. Might actually win this thing.
4. Jason Castro – really really good.
3. David Hernandez – after three weeks, I am starting to like his voice. But he has a weak fanbase.
2. David Archuleta – I don’t specifically love his voice, but he’s very good.
1. Brooke White – I really really like her voice.
After Hollywood week I was sure we had a better pool of talent. Now, I feel the letdown as much as you do. Can we sneak into their rooms at night and give them a pep-up shot?

At this point, I almost don’t care who gets voted in the top, as long as it isn’t Amanda or Chakeze. I think the rest of the top 12 have much better voices.
Ditto, I’m sure. We are of one mind! :em69:
Consider your thoughts as mine, I am sorely disappointed in this season :em26:
As I have said before we are a diverse group
Wow. Bloggers have Carly listed anywhere from #1 to #11. To me, she’s clearly the best vocalist up to now – yes, even beter than David A. – but she doesn’t necessarily have the best stage presence, and she definitely isn’t the most popular contestant.
It is amazing how diversely people are picking the favorites. I think a lot of people are viewing the candidates based on a lot of criteria other than pure vocal talent. It’s interesting to see how peoples’ personal biases affect their opinion of the candidates.
IMO Danny had no business even being in the top 24 but obviously lots of people must have liked his personality.
On the other hand, I thought Asiah’s voice was better than 1/2 the top 12- go figure.
Just in this board alone, you see people who say a person has no talent at all and then the next person says that person is clearly the best.
I guess it’s hard to be objective when so many variable play a part.
At this point, I almost don’t care who gets voted in the top, as long as it isn’t Amanda or Chakeze. I think the rest of the top 12 have much better voices.
Watch for David Cook to rocket into the top three next week, especially if he chooses the right song. After last week’s performance, he has new life and an energized fan base. And a great Beatle’s arrangement is all he needs to bring down the house.
Wow. Bloggers have Carly listed anywhere from #1 to #11. To me, she’s clearly the best vocalist up to now – yes, even beter than David A. – but she doesn’t necessarily have the best stage presence, and she definitely isn’t the most popular contestant.
12- Kristy Lee (has a big shiny target on her from the Asia’h debacle)
11-Chikeze (Same thing due to Danny)
10-David H (Fanbase)
9-Syesha (Surprisingly, I don’t think she has the fanbase)
8-Ramiele (Her limited vocal range in gonna kill her long term)
7-Jason C (I don’t think he’ll prove that he is a performer)
6-Brooke (I think her style is going to get old, she’s not a performer)
5-Amanda(This years Elliot Yamin, will win new fans, but run out of steam)
4-David A (Every year, spot #4 is jinxed)
3-David C (I think he is too many peoples second choice)
2-Michael (Will not inherit enough of David A’s fans)
1-Carly (Could be the new Kelly, I think she could make it)
This is just musing, especially in the beginning any bad performance sends you home.
Also, I believe that Kristy Lee will inherit the VFTW vote, which might sustain her.
I come to this website often to see what people are saying about idol. I’m really surprised that some of you believe that Kristy can actually sing. Growing up on Journey she completely hacked faithfully. It would have been tolerable had she not hit some of the most sour notes i’ve heard this year on idol, especially at the end. However, the judges have been unusually kind. As far as vocals go, she is by far the worst “vocalist” left on the show. She should have been the one to go last week. Other than that I’m happy to see all the love for Brooke, she is my favorite girl this year! With that said, here is my top 12:
12. Kristy Lee Cook-Read Above
11. Chikezie-Other than the fact that black men (with the exception of Ruben) do not do well on this show, he is nothing but lackluster
10. Syesha Mercado-Although I believe vocally she is in the top five, i must admit she’s not someone i’d vote for. Either way, this is just how i’m predicting the voting will actually go! First “surprise” of the year
9. Jason Castro-Personally he’s my least favorite left aside from Kristy, looks like a woman and has average skills for this competition. His uniqueness can only carry him so far!
8. Carly Smithson-Vocally in the top 3, however personality issues will get the best of her as this will be one of the biggest surprises in Idol History!
7. Amanda Overmyer- She is definitely something new to the show and it will carry her for awhile. I don’t get why so many people dislike her. Even though she was smokin hot last week, people still had negative things to say. Even VoteForTheWorst is considering picking a new person aka Kristy as their contestant, nough said.
6. Ramiele Mulubay-Its hard not to like this chick, yet i doubt i would ever actually vote for her. The asian vote certainly helps, but at this point one boring week spells the end….besides the rest of the best will have too big of a fan base to overcome by now.
5. Brooke White-As i’d like her to finish in the top three, i am sad to say that this is going to be a boys year a la the girls year in season 3 with Fantasia, Diana, Jasmine, and La Toya took the top four spots over my then favorite George Huff. I just love Brooke though and hope she can do better.
4. David Cook-Another rocker dude, not half as good as Daughtry, but will somehow sling his way into the same slot of the most successful idol contestant of all time!
3. David Hernandez-This years Elliot Yamin, his vocal prowess will continue to build his fan base and overlook his racy and recent past (a al Elliot’s looks)
2. Michael Johns-This guy is good looking, charming, smart, picks songs people know and can actually really sing. Easily the best rocker this season and the one that will have the chance to knock the king from his thrown.
1. David Archuleta-Humble, attractive, sensitive, has the best vocals out of anyone in the competion, and oh yeah he’s only 17. As it stands, he can suck for 10 weeks and his ticket to the finals is already stamped. He’s got teenagers, grammas, mothers, and even guys like slim and I rooting for him. Irregardless he will most likely be the best IDOL ever, after this year it’s gonna be all downhill for the show….just look up his performance on season one as an 11 year old on youtube, amazing…..
Im wondering … what individuals think are the 3 best single preformances by any of our top 12 contestents to date.

1) David A. Imagine,

3) Jason C. Hallelujah.

100% agree. also loved michael johns bohemian rhapsody performance
My top 12
1. David Archuleta
2. Jason Castro
3. Michael Johns
4. Carly
5. Brook
6. David Cook
7. Kristy Lee
8. David H
9. Ramielle
10. Syesha
11. Chickeze
12. Amanada
Wow….Carly should do fabulous this week, with so many great Beatle songs to choose from. I’d love to hear her do “Don’t Let Me Down” or “Lady Madonna”.
Wow ESA
That may be as close as it gets, love your take on it.
It is fun to see who every one’s favorites are. We are a diverse group
1- Carly
2- David Cook
3- Brooke
4- Jason
5- Michael
6- David Archuleta
7- Ramiele
8- Kristy
9- David Hernandez
10- Syesha
11- Chikezie
12- Amanda
Love your take on things, ESA. You may be the closest to what actually happens. It’ll be fun to see how it plays out.
this is the way i think it should go down, but as we all know there are always curve balls. i really really think that in a just world this is how it should go down though. so im right and you’re all wrong! lol j/k anything can happen…. i do feel though that almost all of the top 12, besides cheezy and amanda, could have won in the last two years, this top bunch is that good and the last two years were weak. seriously, phil stacey came in 5th last year, phil friggin stacey! and i love how this year is definately not a year for the divas….some originality for once
1 Carly Smithson – my perfect woman, hot voice, hot tattoos, and loves to cook and clean. need i say more? ok she just happens to also be the best singer this year.
2 David Archuleta – obviously a fan favorite, he just can’t win though. and am i the only one that notices that weird gasp for air thing he constantly does while he sings?
3 Brooke White – beautiful, classy, good singer, unique. her music selection and style makes her a female version of jason castro meets david cook. im overly impressed and delighted to see her in the competition this year. im very dissapointed that she has never even seen a rated “r” movie though. too prude for me, still love her though
4 Jason Castro – one of my faves ever since that lovin spoonful song. all the eliminations are heartbreaks from here on out
5 David Cook – unique and refreshing, this years blake in that he has good arrangements and musicianship. unfortunately someone has to go home and at this point they’re all great singers, now its down to looks and likeability
6 Michael Johns – so weak and corny, he looks like he could have been a washed up member of the breakfast club. i picture him and rick astley sippin a brew talking about the 80′s. he only makes it this far because for some unknown reason people like him.
7 Ramiele Malubay – i don’t like her all that much, she kind of annoys me but it seems that others like her. now its getting down to it, say peace to the far east!
8 Kristy Lee Cook – opposite of david h and syesha, lacks the voice but depends on the “dude shes hot” vote, thats ends now. ok clarification, has a good voice, but this year they all have good voices
9 David Hernandez – again, good singer, unfortunately a good voice only gets you so far in this competition, he came out really weak in the first round of top 24 and thus has a comparatively weak fan base as well
10 Syesha Mercado – beautiful and has a really good voice, i just don’t think she has the fan base to really make it, she will be successful this just isn’t her gig
11 Chikezie Eze- he’s like a whiter sean kingston with mini teeth-again just creepy
12 Amanda Overmyer-she’s ugly and has some weird raspy elvis thing goin on, even in her moves, its just creepy
heres my choices:
1. Jason Castro
2. Ramielle
3. David H
4. Brooke White
5. David Cook
6. Michael Johns
7. Amanda O.
8. David A.
9. Carly S
10. Kristy Lee
11.Syesha
12. Chikwhatever
Although most of us know David A and Carly is AIs choice.
So many strong personalities.
Can’t we all just get along??
Dr Electro, Janis is an iconic figure for a reason, therefore she must appeal to many many people. I admit that in her day, I wasnt a big fan, but I appreciate her more today than ever.
And saying that DUI = a character flaw is down right silly, it was a mistake, and people have the ability to learn from mistakes – which is a measure of good character.
ABX
You’re right about Janis. Her appeal was broad and widespread – that’s why she did so well as a recording artist. However, I still never liked her singing which is why I never bought any of her recordings. It’s good to know that your appreciation of her has grown. I have had the same experience with other artists. Fair enough? :)
By the same token, I don’t like Amanda’s vocals even though I can easily see that she appeals to other listeners. Her style and voice just don’t appeal to my tastes. I respect your opinion and the opinions of others but still fully intend to keep mine as they are.
As for DUI being a character flaw, I don’t see it that way among people who have only had one DUI. I see it as a crime. Amanda has paid her debt to society and should be left alone about it. It only becomes a character flaw if the offense is repeated often.
Idk, but I think the top 5 will be!

In my defense, I think a contestent should be evaluated on 3 criteria:
1. What is their pure vocal talent?
2. Are they a good performer?
3. Would they be a good role model?
Rob, This would be where we disagree: #3 is completely off discussion (IMHO). I don’t expect any entertainer (or ball player or artist or movie star) to be a role model for my child or me. Some really gruesome people have made great art and the art is what matters in the end. This may explain my dislaike of David A who is trying way to hard to be “good” when he should just stick to being a pro.
Good gravy! I leave for a few hours and the place falls apart!!
I kid.
I have to say that I was NOT on the David A bandwagon from the beginning. I was all, “What’s with the hype? I don’t get it.” He grew on me big time. Not sure why I felt the need to justify being a David A fan, but my mind just kind of goes to these weird places.
Like Teri, I love how we all see things so differently and how we hear things so differently. The world would be so boring if we all liked the same things. What I like even more, is that we can discuss it all here without being attacked. For the most part, anyway. Sometimes it slips through, but I personally think Slim’s place is the best around. Not too big so our comments don’t get lost in the shuffle. We can get to know each other a little, even. Thanks for the 3854776th time, Slim!
(I am DYING to put my two cents in about the whole DUI thing but I am going to keep mum. A moderator shouldn’t have to be moderated, huh?)

Rob, Amanda didnt kill your friend.
People die, its a fact of life, each event must be treated accordingly.
And BTW, if you think im talking without any related tragedy, well, beside loosing my childhood best friend to a drunk, my mother also died in a accident caused by a drunk driver, but I certainly don’t blame Amanda for that … nor should I.
Rob, lets let this discussion fade, and rather discuss the imperfections of American Idol contestents, not societies liabilities or your contempt.

I think the only reason why people say that her mistake “should” be forgiven is simply because she happened to be lucky enough to have not killed an innocent person during the incident. If I go out drinking, get on the highway and risk your life needlessly, I don’t expect to ever be forgiven. I have lost a good friend to a drunk driver. Have you? The only difference between that person and her is pure chance of time and place imho. But I guess I am just being “silly” because I don’t want to simply firgive someone who selfishly took my friend forever.
The kind of mistakes people should be forgiven for is leaving the toilet seat up sorry girls :-) not risking other peoples’ lives.

There were no surprises but that’s good. I want the top 12 to be the best 12. Now is when it gets fun.
We wait until the 12 and play a game where you have to predict the final 2 over the next couple weeks. It sounds easy but it’s hard. It was pretty hard last year too. There’s a website that actually tracks it so we’re not bothered by managing everyone’s picks. We just created an office pool which is free. The site also offers an open game to the general public where anyone can just join. Dang, I sound like a commercial ; ) Anyway, check it out. It makes watching more fun.
http://www.last2left.com/whatsinplay/american-idol-7
I don’t hate Amanda either. I just don’t like her as a performer. I didn’t like Janis Joplin back inthe Sixties and Seventies and I don’t like Janis Joplin clones. If Amanda could put out a performance that didn’t sound like a gravel crusher stuck in low speed I might like her better. Sandpapery voices just don’t impress me much.
Apologies to all of Amanda’s fans but that’s my personal opinion.
Tomato_Queen, Amanda didn’t get this far because shes not popular, obviously a certain demograchic really like her. I agree, I think people are to hard on her in general terms, and don’t appreciate her for who she is. We are all different, and none are perfect. And as far as DUI, well, ive never been convicted of any crime myself, but I wouldnt claim im an angel … and people who points to her DUI as some sort of deviant crime, should realize that people DO make mistakes, but mistakes dont necessarily define who we are for the rest of our lives. Give the girl a break!

I don’t think anyone hates Amanda, she seems like a nice enough person, I for one am not found of a person who drinks and drives, but as far as her as a person I am sure she is wonderful, but I wouldn’t buy a CD from her as I would end up throwing it out the window of my car.
I have to disagree. When someone drinks and drives, not only are they needlessly showing a disregard for the safety of others, they have a character flaw and they don’t need to be a role model. And whoever wins this show will be a role model for kids.
As far as singing is concerned, I liked Amanda the first time I heard her. After that, it was like listening to a broken record as every song sounds exactly the same.
For me at least, she is the opposite of someone who “grows on you”. The more I hear, the less I want to hear.
Sorry Amanda fans. :em28:

Sadly, I’m afraid more people feel like you than don’t. I just hope she makes it far enough to release an independant CD for the few of us who would buy one. It is fun to watch and see what happens :em55:

Time for SCREECHING :em01: Amanda to go !
PLEEEEEAAAAASEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not so much the order in which the 12 will finish, but how I HOPE it will go down ….

2. David Hernandez
1. David Archuleta
LOL! Imagine how many votes AI would get if it came down to these two! We all know they appear to be most interested in showing off how many votes they get (funny how practically every week there is an “unprecedented” vote count!), so if it weren’t for the scandal I think a David A and David H finale would be in the works.
Personally, I think the top four will be: David A, David H, Carly Smithson and either Brooke White or Ramielle Malubay. Or maybe Jason Castro. (Hmm..that’s 6!)
The first four to go will hopefully be: Chikeze, Amanda, David Cook (idiot…) and Kristy Lee Cook.
I don’t care much for Syesha and I think Michael John was hyped up a bit much too early up…so was David A, but he’s so darn cute – getting tired of him would be like turning your back on a puppy!
I had to post because I am tired of the Amanda hate going around. Personally, she is my favorite out of all of the top 12. Granted, she does NOT have the “best” voice, but when I’m listening to a song I want a voice with character and a singer with personality. Amanda has the most of both and when she performs she OWNS the stage. Frankly, though he is adorable and has a fantastic voice I find David A. sort of boring (I’m prepared for the tomato throwing, it’s okay, I probably deserve it) :em23: . My list (which will never in a million years happen):
1. Amanda
2. Jason
3. Brooke
4. David Cook
5. Carly
These top five are the most interesting to me and the ones unique enough to reward by calling them ‘artists.’ The rest blur together for me (except for David A. and that is only because EVERYONE loves him).
6. David A.
7. David H.
8. Ramielle
9. Syesha
10. Michael Johns
11. Kristy Lee Cook
12. Chikeze
Just an opinion and it could all change with upcoming rounds. I wish all of them good luck!
Here is how I rank the top 12.
1. David A.
2. Carly
3. David Cook
4. Brooke
5. Ramielle
6. Syesha
7. David H.
8. Kristy Lee Cook
9. Michael Johns
10. Jason
11. Chickeze
12. Amanda O.
Very interesting to read other peoples choices …
Males:
David A: Pros: Biggest potential, best singer of the entire bunch, professional, handles pressure. Cons: Cute to a fault, song choices could be his undoing. Finish: Top 2, Winner.
Jason Castro: Pros: Versatile singer, musician, unphased by pressure, cool dude appeal. Cons: No personality, no charismatic appeal, limited vocals. Finish: Top 8.
Chikeze Eze: Pros: Underrated singer, demographic appeal, nice guy personality. Cons: Lack of consistency, song choices, nerves. Finish: A surprise? Top 4.
David C: Pros: Musician, decent singer, knows his limitations, ice water in his veins. Cons: Attitude (although this could be a pro), limited vocals. Finish: Top 6.
David H: Pros: v.good vocal range. Cons: tends to push outside vocal range, lacks distinct personality. Finish: Male darkhorse? Top 10.
Michael J: Pros: Charsimatic, smart, song choices. Cons: Poor vocal range, got this far on smoke & mirrors, old (although since Taylor Hicks, this might not be an issue anymore). Finish: Exposed, out early.
Females:
Carly S: Pros: Most well rounded female singer, very professional, smart choices. Cons: Old, lacks distinct personality. Finish: Top 2.
Amanda O: Pros: Knows her limitations, song choices, appeals to rockers. Cons: Very limited vocals, personality. Finish: Top 8.
Kristy Lee C: Pros: Totally professional, consistent, v.good voice, genuinly nice, certainly not forgettable. Cons: Country (although this demographic could become a pro), Simon self indulgent bias. Finish: My favorite after David A & Carly, but not america\\\’s, out early.
Syesha M: Pros: Demographics, v.good vocal range. Cons: song choice, flies under the radar. Finish: Top 10.
Ramielle M: Pros: Great pipes, demographics, pop appeal. Cons: Timid nerves, song choice, poor at singing softer notes, unprofessional. Finish: female darkhorse? Top 4 (although I still can\\\’t believe she survived last weeks terrible performance, which indicates she\\\’ll go far with little effort)
Brooke W: Pros: Good vocals, song choices, knows her limitations, smart, nice. Simon choice so far. Cons: Lacks pop star appeal, limited vocal range, questionable nerves, Carly Simon clones can only go so far. Finish: Top 6.
From a professional / talent standpoint, win or lose: I predict that David A and Kristy Lee Cook will become very successful within certain genres, and based on this group will have the longest careers. A polished Ramielle could have a limited career as a young pop artist. Chikeze and David Cook could also do very well within their respective genres. Carly\\\’s harder to figure, her appeal as a pop star is limited, but I could see her as an adult orientated singer. In the words of Simon, the rest will become forgettable.

Not so much the order in which the 12 will finish, but how I HOPE it will go down ….
12. Chikeze Eze
11. Kristy Lee Cook
10. Ramielle Malubay
9. Brooke White
8. Amanda Overmyer
7. Michael Johns
6. David Cook
5. Syesha Mercado

3. Carly Simonsen
2. David Hernandez
1. David Archuleta

Karen C, here they seem to be liking Brook, also the high school kids in my class seem to want her the most. With David A and David C bringing up second and third. The high school kids flip back and forth between Carly and Brook depending on the last performance.

That IS very interesting!!!! Brooke..hmmm.
I wanted her to do Stevie Nicks this past week, like Stand Back would have just been amazing from her.
Even Landslide would have been good

Tim you crack me up, SO into Rameille!
Sorry Timm. That was MY list, not yours, made to please ME, not you. You are perfectly welcome to put Ramielle at the top of your list though :em20:
My top 12 with no influence from my class

1. David Archuleta
2. Carly

4. David Cook
At this point I think it’s a horserace between Carly and David. Carly’s power ballads are amazing, but she’ll have to show us her softer side. And David will have to do the opposite. Ramiele’s my sentimental favorite, although I doubt she’ll place higher than David Cook, who I have really gotten to like.
Karen C, here they seem to be liking Brook, also the high school kids in my class seem to want her the most. With David A and David C bringing up second and third. The high school kids flip back and forth between Carly and Brook depending on the last performance.

Heres mine
12 – Amanda O.
11 – Chikeze Eze
10 – Kristy Lee C.
9 – Jason Castro
8 – David H.
7 – Syesha M.
6 – Ramielle M.
5 – David C.
4 – Michael J.
3 – Carly S.
2 – David A.
1 – Brooke W.
I think its going to be good
12 -Chikezei (every tween in NYC hates him after Danny got the boot)
11- David H (AI does not want him on the tour but he will get a contract)
10 – Kristy Lee (she asked for it, she’ll get it and they need country on tour)
9 – Amanda (could flip w/ Kristy – they need rock on tour)
8 – Michael (They can only push this limited a fella so far)
7 – Ramielle (Cute is over)
6 – Syesha (Not a good year for belters)
Now it gets tough…
5 – David C (Rock only goes so far)
4 – The shock week – David A (cutie will have overplayed his little professional hand by now)
3 – Jason (So stoned he falls off his stool)
and amazingly it is down to 2 women even though as a group they are less talented
2 – Brooke (this years Blake – really smart choices = #2)
1 – Carly (she is their it girl)
I won’t try to rank all twelve, but I want to see Amanda and Cheezy out the door, not in any particular order.
I think David Archuletta, Carly Smithson, David Hernandez and Syesha will do well in the voting.
I agree with you Karen C on the ranking except for Rameille. My grand daughter and her friends are tweens and they want her to go. They didn’t say why they didn’t like her but they are very matter of fact that they don’t. Because of their reaction to her and my ear I would rank her 3rd from the bottom
Wow! That’s pretty interesting about your Tween Vote. So, who does your granddaughter like? The CT kids love her (Rameille). My daughter is 10, and she and her friends are completely obsessed with the show. It’s the MOST IMPORTANT thing in the world. And if you haven’t seen it the night before, you may as well stay in bed and not go to school. At least that’s what SHE says (cue the eye roll)!

In my opinion, there are 2 definite tops and 3 definite bottoms. The 7 middle people are pretty equal to me, all talented and depending on what kind of week they have, that will determine what order they leave. They’re all so different from each other that it makes it hard to say who is necessarily better.
Here is my list with my two cents added.
David A (longest shelf life & best singer)
Carly S (although I would never buy her stuff & don’t like her appearance)
Rameille (has the tween vote absolutely and that’s a lot of calls)
Jason (very unique despite always looking stoned and kind of happily dazed)
Syesha (so cheerful, very cute. Seems a little bit overconfident sometimes)
David C (probably the most likely to have commercial success)
Michael (seems a lot older than everyone else to me but I like him)
Kristy Lee (looks way better without makeup IMO & guys LOVE her)
Brooke (always sounds a little bit hoarse but she has her niche)
David H (the snot nose confession did him in, despite waxed 6 pack)
Chikeezie (likeable guy but second in line to go)
Amanda (a little too much everything for me)
