Wow. I don’t like the song (Underwood and Crue don’t fit well for me) but you know, I can mute the sound if it really bothers me. If a bad song was enough to make me stop watching Idol, William Hung, anyone?

I loved it. Carrie really did well. Cannot wait to hear the whole song. She was always my favorite idol contestant, so any song she sings I am going to love.

Need to reserve final judgment until I hear the whole song but my initial response is:
1. I am sure Motley is glad for the $ at least;
2. Sounds like a low rent Linda Ronstadt circa 1973. (Yeah I am that old and older).
Lol.. that doesn’t really sound like an Idol farewell song. The lyrics yes, but the song? not really. but ok
:ermm: Carrie is, by a country mile, my favorite contestant ever on American Idol, but this doesn’t work for me. It’s almost sacrilegious.
Parting on a note like that has got to cut the pain at least a little.

Well, that was one of my favorite songs back in 1987…or sometime around there. :) Anyway, I think Carrie’s version sounds great and it’s a perfect song for the goodbye montages.
