And Amy, I so agree. Can one really LIVE in a place like that? Would one be allowed to have ‘stuff’ in that house? Could you lounge on a comfy couch and eat chips and read a book? I don’t know. I’m not knocking rich people…more power to ‘em. Let them stimulate the economy, I guess. :) I just think I’d have a more…normal…house. But then again, who knows? If I suddenly became rich, perhaps I would turn into a pretentious snob who would look down on the common folk. But I doubt it.

When I first got married, my husband and I lived in a tiny little house and he worked nights. That was some scary stuff back then! I can’t imagine being alone in a huge mansion! I’d hear every snap, crackle and pop! :)
If your Simon Cowell you are probably scarier then anything that could get you in a house like that so it’s not really the same

If I was rich, I would definitely like to have gates and a huge fence around the property, but not to keep people out, to keep the DEER out! Golly dang, they come right up on my porch and eat stuff. And I would like a real sewing room. Other than that… oh, maybe an indoor pool, heehee. But other than THAT, just give me a decent kitchen, a family room, couple of bathrooms, and some bedrooms. Small bedrooms, we only use ours for nocturnal activities, ahem. In our town, our son had a friend whose bedroom was about 25 X 35, and he had a computer, big screen tv, game systems, and a refrigerator in it. Son spent the whole day and night there once and said he never saw the parents. That’s excessive!
Yeah, that IS excessive! Bubba and I have our “if we won the lottery” talk every once in a while. He dreams of an awesome kitchen and a man-cave. I dream of a library/scrap/computer/movie room. Doesn’t have to be huge, just nice little areas for those things. At least two bathrooms and a garage. Woo hoo. I’m not an indulgent person by nature unless it comes to food…well, chocolate. :)

Unless Kelly takes him up on his offer

What the heck is this?! What is the matter with people?

  8. ABB

What a concrete box with a parking lot in the back. Sigh. Not much of a woman’s touch on the outside, at least. I cannot imagine living in such a huge house alone. It’s… kind of… spooky at night! Besides, how much room does one person need?!

Am biting my tongue about yet another bad Danny comment. :pouty: (not from you, Rach) Not sure why I always feel the need to defend the idols every year. Not gonna do it…not gonna do it…not gonna do it…
But we do, we do, we do..
This isn’t anything new, actually. Last year, they overplayed Archie’s vocal paralysis to the hilt, too. What’s funny is that it actually really did happen to Archie and vocal paralysis is not a simple thing – especially if you want to sing for a living. So, Archie overcoming it is supposed to be this amazing thing, but because the producers overplayed it, it became more of a liability to him.
But there has been no mention of Danny’s wife in a few weeks. Danny specifically requested this from what I’ve read. But yet we hear of Lil’s 3 kids and her struggle. And Fantasia way back when, and MANY others in between. Why is this any different ? And last year we also heard numerous times about David Cook’s brother’s battle with Cancer, and the sadness that showed in his face. Why was that any different?
When a contestant is good enough to pose a serious threat to another persons favorite, they find whatever reason they can to hate that contestant. If it’s not a dance move, it will be an ugly shirt, or a missed note, or in this case a family tragedy, or whatever.. point is that some people will watch his performances every week and analyze it absolutely to the point of being ridiculous so they can come on here and on other forums and give some lame-o reason for why he shouldn’t be on that stage.. when the truth is nothing more than the fact that he is the one who might beat their fave, and that is why they dislike him.

I thought the same thing. Maybe he throws a bunch of parties…who knows? :) The staff will enjoy looking at it as they clean it.

You know, Simon seems so busy, wonder why he (or any busy celeb) needs such a large house if he will rarely be in it.

I think that’s the pool house running along the bottom of the property and all you can see of the pool is the top edge of it.

  14. Pretty. But there is no land at all. That stinks.

Ahhh…to be rich and famous… or just rich. Whatever.

  15. MSCC

wow. I wonder if we can get a virtual tour.

  16. starshine0810

If I had 15mil to spend on a house, it would have an ocean view and lots of land…That 15mil must be all in the house, because it sure isn’t outside..he is certainly a man of many sides…He dresses like a bum and lives like this…hmmm
