Albuquerque is not noted for being a Wintry city. It is now 3 degrees and the temperature is still dropping. We have had snow for 24 hours but it is so fine and dry that it’s more like sand than snow. The wind howling out of the canyon is trying to blow our door off its hinges. More snow is on the way over the next three days accompanied by even colder temperatures.

Remember that what comes through here always ends up in New England and clobbers everybody between New Mexico and Newfoundland. Be ready to duck and cover!

  4. We got 7″-10″, but it is too fine to make snowmen with. Booo!
Probably no school the remainder of the week. Too many hills to clear.
The bird feeders are standing room only!

    @ idol time:
it’s so much easier to be a kid, I have a 15 minute walk to and from work in the New York snow!

As I commented to Amy on FB, it’s sunny and 45 here. We’ve had a pretty mild winter. I also posted a picture on FB that I took today. I needed to go to the store, and it was so sunny out that I grabbed my camera just in case something looked like it needed its picture taken. Ended up taking several shots of flags waving around town. They’re so pretty against a blue sky.

Anyway, sorry you all in the Midwest and East are getting dumped on. You’re all welcome to come visit!!

Work closing at noon today and will probably be closed all day tomorrow. All the schools are closed, but this is New England (Western Mass)

    Just glad I have 4WD.

Just rain so far even though we are well in the ‘pink’ area on the map. Hoping it helps the snow bank go down a little. Expect the ice tonight to be a doozy though :(

  11. been shoveling all morning. first round is over. got about 7 inches. the next round starts later with another 8 to 12 it looks like but they don’t have a clue
