My Fantasy Team For This Week

Jessica begins the show tonight explaining how she broke her ribs and had to drop out of the show in order to be able to heal in time for the tour. As spoiled earlier in the week she will be replaced by Comfort.

Names : Courtney and Joshua
Routine : Hip Hop
Judges Thoughts : (L) Great choreography. It was interesting for me. Josh, you killed it. Courtney, you did good, give up for yourself. You both made the routine your own. (M) You had chemistry. This was a lot of fun. It was tremendous. Josh, you stole the show for me. Courtney, you did a respectable job. (N) A lot of good dancing for you Josh. Courtney, good character but the dancing wasn’t as good as Josh, you have to bring your dancing up to his standards.
My Thoughts : Awesome routine to start the show tonight. Glad I picked them for my fantasy team this week.

Solo: Chelsie – Song: “Pon De Replay” by Rihanna

Names : Mark and Kherington
Routine : Two Step
Judges Thoughts : (L) Fun routine, but you guys attacked it from the wrong direction. You let you missed turn bleed onto the dance floor. You didn’t nail it for me. (M) This was one tough number. Kherington, your arms have to be connected from the center. It wasn’t smooth and easy and thats what this dance is. (N) This requires partners to have faith in each other. Kherington, you can’t let go in the middle of turns. It is about the male leading. You didn’t give up though.
My Thoughts : It actually wasn’t to bad. I am kind of afraid for Kherington tomorrow night though.

Solo: Gev – Song: “Hello/Goodbye (uncool) by Lupe Fiasco

Names : Twitch and Comfort
Routine : Smooth Waltz
Judges Thoughts : (L) I enjoyed it. You have to put your emotions aside and be a part of the routine. Comfort, you presented yourself better than you have so far on the show. (M) It is just lacking so much power at this point. You are out of your style. The rise and the fall wasn’t there, it was choppy. It didn’t work. (N) It wasn’t strong enough for a Top 10 dancer. I didn’t believe the relationship between the two of you.
My Thoughts : Personally I think it is the best Comfort has danced all season. Props to that performance.

Solo: Courtney – Song: “When I Need You” by Celine Dion

Names : Will and Katee
Routine : Broadway
Judges Thoughts : (L) Wow. You guys were explosive. You rocked my boat. (M) I am hot and on the love boat with this number. You pulled it off. Katee, you were so cute. The talent is out of this world. Will, you can keep ripping that shirt off. (N) It was terrific. Without question, you are our most technical dancers. A terrific routine. I see why you are in the Top 10.
My Thoughts : Awesome. Katee looked so hot in those short shorts.

Solo: Mark – Song: “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen

Names : Chelsie and Gev
Routine : Contemporary
Judges Thoughts : (L) You guys really committed. Gev, you felt prepared. I am going to give it you guys for that one. (M) I believed it. Amazing chemistry together. It was terrific tonight. (N) I felt the chemistry but I felt that Gev wasn’t completely behind the passion. Good job.
My Thoughts : Not a contemporary fan but it wasn’t bad.

Solo: Comfort – Song: “Need a Boss” by Shareefa
Solo: Twitch – Song: “I Question Mark” by Wade Robeson

Names : Courtney and Joshua
Routine : Rumba
Judges Thoughts : (L) I might need my asthma pump. You took my breath away. I loved how the hands just rolled off. Beautiful Courtney, loved the lines. (M) You were stroking the floor Josh, you didn’t fall off balance. You went a little bit beyond what everyone would do. Overall the whole thing for me was just fantastic. (N) Beautiful choreography. Josh, you are a man and can still use your hips. The press arch was fantastic.
My Thoughts : One word – Wow.

Solo: Katee – Song: “This Woman’s Work” by Maxwell

Names : Mark and Kherington
Routine : Jazz
Judges Thoughts : (L) Good routine and you maintained character. Kherington, great center, be careful on the lifts. Good job. (M) I am not jumping out of my seat. There wasn’t anything really wrong but it didn’t make me feel like jumping out of my chair. It made me happy but I want to be fired up at this point. (N) It was like a driving test for me. No heart, no passion. Nothing to make people pick up the phone and vote.
My Thoughts : Not feeling it at all. Kherington should be departing tomorrow night for the girls.

Solo: Will – Song: “Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross

Names : Twitch and Comfort
Routine : Hip Hop
Judges Thoughts : (L) That was kind of “Buck”. Twitch, you hit hard like Dave. Comfort, that was the best I have seen you do a Hip Hop routine. (M) I think it was “Buck” too even though that doesn’t sound right coming from my mouth. You guys were terrific. Comfort, you stepped up and came to the plate. Twitch, what can I say. (N) It didn’t looked choreographed, it looked like you were doing it there on the spot. Comfort, tonight you came up to the plate. Welcome back Comfort.
My Thoughts : Loved it, but Comfort still didn’t hit it hard enough.

Solo: Kherington – Song “Breakin’ Dishes” by Rihanna

Names : Will and Katee
Routine : Pas de Deux
Judges Thoughts : (L) That was a great routine. You guys danced with so much conviction and passion. I really believed it. (M) Beautiful choreography and 2 of the most beautiful dancers I have ever seen. It picked up speed as it went along. It got you right in the heart. (N) I don’t I have seen such wonderful dancing on the show.
My Thoughts : Not real sure I understand what the Pas de Deux is but it was still a decent routine. Both Katee and Will should be safe from elimination tomorrow night.

Solo: Joshua – Song “Jam” by Michael Jackson

Names : Chelsie and Gev
Routine : Jive
Judges Thoughts : (L) She out stepped you Gev. She lead the whole time. (M) I thought you guys did a terrific job. Way to end the evening tonight. Chelsie you stole the show up there like Lil C said. (N) The energy levels were there. Chelsie you did steal the show. You did a great job the pair of you.
My Thoughts : A decent end to the night.

I agree with you on the girls, however, I wonder if Gev might be in trouble too. I mean, he did okay last night but he could have done better. I’m getting nervous already

I think Comfort and Mark will be leaving tonight.[/quote]

    Totally agree !!!

  4. I loved Sonya’s reaction during that contemporary routine. She was so overwhelmed I think she was about to cry… I felt kind of bad that her last routine (with Kourtni and Matt) had the couple in the bottom 3, because it really was very good. I think America will appreciate this one more, though, and the judges had very good feedback. Not to mention, Chelsie and Gev really killed it. I was amazed at how he was jumping around like that — he really nailed those leaps!

Kherington was not quite there tonight. Up until now I think she’s been very blessed with great choreography and a great partner, but now her weaknesses are showing. I still think she’s a great dancer and performer, but she’s had it too easy.

Katee, on the other hand, is still killing it every single time! I was wondering how she’d do this week with a new partner, and I’m glad to see she’s still on top. I’ve been waiting for them to say something about how close they came to dropping her — that would’ve been a HUGE mistake, and I’m glad Nigel acknowledged that. I felt really badly for her after what they put her through before adding her to the top 20, especially after it became obvious that they pinned her personality all wrong. She’s one driven dancer.

I’m not happy about Comfort being back. I always felt she should’ve been eliminated before Kourtni… not only did they keep her too long to start with, but they brought her back afterwards. I know they can’t have an odd number of dancers so someone had to fill in, but on previous shows they’ve had choreographers step in when a dancer was unable to preform. I know this is a bit of a different story, but it’s unfair that Comfort got to dance tonight without earning a spot in the top 10.

  5. Roxanne

Loved the knod to David Archuleta on Will & Katte’s pas de deux to Imagine!

  6. DrillerAA

I still say Cat is the best host of any reality show in the history of television. She is brilliant! :w00t:

There is no doubt that Will and Katee are the cream of the crop right now. However, Courtney and Joshua were great. I think Mark and Kherington got the short end of the stick this week with that Texas two-step. I guess they should be thankful they didn’t draw Bollywood.

  8. Pas de Deux is a ballet term. It is French for “the passing of two,” which can be reffered to as two ships passing in the night. It’s romantic, passionate and supposed to be heartbreaking.

As a ballroom dance it is a treat to watch when it is done well. As ballet, it is the centerpiece of the show because it sets up the conflict between two lovers.

Amazing how a three-minute dance can convey all that, isn’t it?

  9. *ahem* Cue the comments!

    :cheerful:

  10. still no “jidges” from Cat :cwy:
