Tent Girl Amy Brumfield from the American Idol audition in Savannah last night has a LONG criminal record according to TMZ. Yeah a bad ass on the show.
American Idol” wannabe Amy Brumfield … the 24-year-old singer who lives in a tent … has a LONG criminal record … revealing a serious battle with alcohol.
According to police records obtained by TMZ, Brumfield has been arrested at least 6 times in the past 7 years … with 3 arrests involving booze.
Brumfield — who blew the “Idol” judges away with her rendition of Superwoman by Alicia Keys — was arrested in Tennessee on August 22, 2010 after cops say she was so drunk, she peed on herself in the lobby of a Baskin Robbins.
Just 9 days before that — on August 13 — she was arrested in front of the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen … after cops say she was displayed “extreme intoxication” … and was “trying to find someone to take her home.”
Brumfield was arrested twice in 2007 — once for unlawful detainer (staying at a property after her lease had ended). The other arrest was for underage consumption of alcohol — for which she pled guilty and was sentenced to probation.
Brumfield was also arrested in 2005 for criminal trespass on private property — the details around that incident are unclear.

Wow, talk about a bully pulpit. It’s one thing to report a story, it’s another when the reporting sounds like it turning loose the dogs on her. Do we all have to live in a damned fishbowl these days? People go through a stage known as “Young and Stupid” That does NOT mean that we should hold them accountable for those mistake-prone times forever-and-ever-amen.
This girl can sing and is very entertaining. If we are going to hold talented people accountable for their stupidity, execute Lindsey Lohan tomorrow at dawn and schedule Paris Hilton the next morning.
The fact that they have money and fame ahead of their transgressions means they get a free pass. Screw all the judgmental people who don’t like what Amy has done in her past.
Omg, give the woman a break! Who cares about her past. She is a good singer that’s all that matters. She is obviously trying to make life better for herself. I can’t believe someone would even consider posting something like this about a girl they don’t even know. Please people, don’t judge her because of this. She isn’t even famous, she only auditioned for American Idol and there is already negative things being posted about her on the internet? UNBELIEVABLE!!! No one is perfect!

I,m relaxed I took my one post down.I quess it took alot of courage to tell the world I,m homeless and if you know about the streets you know many people have their story!!! She was one a the very few people esp. girls that could SING a tune!!!I,m chilled it like Give her a shot now if the RULES of American Idol state no RECORD what so ever then talk about it.If not start keeping track of all those peps coming through you,ll find a lot are way worse charges than being DRUNK…Just saying…so I,ll be looking for lots a muk shot!!!! LOL

Maybe this is the chance she needs to turn everything around. She didn’t blow me away but neither did Kelly Clarkson the first time I saw her.
So what? maybe she has grown up from that.
