I was thinking that people where taking cheap shots at one another in the comments, I found no such thing, just people having a bit of fun with likes and dislikes. I do believe the name calling came in to play when those making the comments were called immature. :wink: Those who have never done anything like that in the past are free to cast the first stone. I think Kris Allen is a good example of Americas taste from last season. However I did not feel the judges made fair eliminations earlier on. My initial favorite was Ricky Braddy, who was eliminated not for his voice, but "star quality" as Simon phrased it. But man did he have a big beautiful voice. I think many contestants aren't handsome or pretty enough for the judges these past few seasons. But I for one love the big voice. They are rare and hard to find when it comes to natural talent. Like a diamond or ruby they stand out from the crowed and sparkle. Talent does not mean big voice only that's true.
